 I do not know if you Aussies can beat this one in the "sucker nation" stakes?

The city of New York pays $220 million per annum to rent the entire Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan to house illegal migrants! Talk about paying to dig one's own grave!

The hotel is owned by the government of Pakistan, and the deal was part of a $1.1 billion IMF bailout package to help Pakistan avoid defaulting on their international debt.

Prior to this sweetheart deal, the hotel had been closed since 2020, having long-struggled with occupancy and in dire need of renovation."

Vivek Ramaswamy Tweeted: "We need to scrutinize U.S. government funding of "non-government organizations." It's an oxymoron that represents a waste of taxpayer dollars, but the real problem runs deeper: Americans deserve transparency on opaque foreign aid & nonprofit groups abetting our own border crisis.' The time for such scrutiny has come with Musk and Vivek.
