Home Schooling Under Attack By Mrs Vera West

The Queensland parliament has a Bill before it, the Education (General Provisions) and Other Legislation Bill 2024), which attacks home schooling by increasing bureaucratic red tape, with a vastly increased amount of paperwork and reporting requirements. Parents will be forced to teach, I believe, the standard woke curriculum, which conflicts with most home schoolers, who are conservative Christians. The Bill also has red-flag provisions in it, such as requiring homeschooling to be done in the "best interests" of the child with "safety" and "wellbeing" being foremost. And just who determines what that is? Why the state of course, not parents. The phrases mean, that woke neo-Marxist ideology that now dominates our schools now will have to be taught, I assume. But at worst, the ideologies could be looked at, critically by parents, and deconstructed, which probably needs to be done anyway.

The idea behind this, I believe, is to eliminate home schooling, so the next generation can be subjected to the woke, New World Order ideologies that pretend to be education now. George's site has the link to a parliamentary petition that Queensland voters can sign, as do I, but it would not hurt to bounce some emails of protest to all members of parliament if you are from another state or territory.
