Happy, Happy, Happy Things for Old Uncle Joe Biden! By James Reed

If this old guy was not planning on destroying the West with Replacement level migration, one could almost like his folksy, old timer Alzheimer’s way of doing things. He reminds me of the cartoon character Mr Magoo … here, get a cup of coffee and relax from politics for a moment, and remember when cartons, sorry, cartoons, were not woke, indeed politically incorrect (Mr Magoo was half-blind/ visually challenged), but fun.

“President Joe Biden again snapped at reporters on Friday after delivering remarks to celebrate the substantial employment gains in June.

After finishing his remarks, Biden took a few questions from the attendant media, but immediately complained they were too negative.

One reporter asked him about the future of Afghanistan and his proposed timeline of withdrawal of troops from the country.

Biden defended the withdrawal of troops, noting the United States had been in that war for 20 years.

“I want to talk about happy things, man!” Biden replied after a second reporter asked about Afghanistan.

After a third reporter asked Biden about Afghanistan, he grew even more frustrated.

“I’m not going to answer any more questions about Afghanistan,” he replied. “Look it’s the Fourth of July. I’m concerned that you guys are asking me questions that I’ll answer next week.”

“This is a holiday weekend, I’m going to celebrate it,” Biden continued. “Great things happening.”

Biden told the press jobs numbers were up, the economy was up, coronavirus cases were down, the troops were coming home and people were getting back to baseball stadiums.

“I’ll answer all your negative questions… not negative, you’re legitimate question,” he said.

Another reporter asked Biden if he was concerned that enough Americans had been vaccinated to gather and celebrate the holiday in large groups without another coronavirus outbreak.

“I’m not concerned there’s going to be a major outbreak, in other words, that we’re going to have another epidemic nationwide,” Biden said. “But I am concerned that lives will be lost.”

As Biden left the podium, another reporter asked him about whether he was confident his infrastructure deal would make progress in Congress.

“C’mon guys,” he replied. “Have you ever been confident about anything with guarantee … who wants to put money on anything that Congress is going to do?”

“Look folks this is a process,” he continued. “This is a process. I love you guys. but it’s a process.”

“The Biden administration launched a government-wide effort aimed at encouraging millions of immigrants to apply to become U.S. citizens, the Department of Homeland Security announced Friday.

Officials at its U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency debuted an inter-agency plan to make the 9 million lawful permanent residents who may be eligible to apply for citizenship aware and help them do so. The announcement was timed for the Fourth of July, when the United States celebrates its independence.

The new move stems from President Joe Biden’s executive order earlier this year that called for the U.S. government to come up with and implement “welcoming strategies that promote inclusion, and citizenship.”

Some upcoming naturalization ceremonies will take place at national parks as opposed to federal buildings, while U.S. Postal Services will display posters inside storefront locations about applying for citizenship. The Department of Veterans Affairs will work with veteran organizations to educate its noncitizen members about becoming U.S. citizens. These initiatives are meant to put the issue in the spotlight and raise awareness among the public.

Biden is slated to participate in a naturalization ceremony Friday. It is one of 100 ceremonies that will take place between June 30 and July 7 in honor of the U.S. independence holiday.

While previous administrations have celebrated naturalization ceremonies and encouraged immigrants to apply, the Biden administration’s new actions are a step beyond the norm and those of his predecessor. The Trump administration had encouraged noncitizens to go about entering the U.S. legally but simultaneously made it harder for some classes of people, including family members of immigrants in the U.S., to be admitted. That was on the basis that immigrants should be admitted by skill and wealth, not relationships to family in the country.”
