Europe’s Free Speech Crackdown: The Dawn of Techno-Fascism, By Richard Miller (Londonistan)

The Enlightenment, that beacon of reason, liberty, and free expression, is dead in Europe, and the global elite are dancing on its grave. Vice President JD Vance and Elon Musk have blown the whistle on a chilling reality: Europe's aggressive censorship, driven by the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA), isn't just a local power grab, it's a deliberate slide into techno-fascism and feudalism, threatening to drag the free world, including America, into a dystopian nightmare. The attack on free speech is no accident; it's a calculated move by unelected bureaucrats and their corporate puppets to silence dissent and enslave minds. The evidence is undeniable, the stakes are existential, and the clock is ticking.

The EU's Digital Services Act, rolled out in 2022 and now in full force, is the blueprint for Europe's new dark age. Under the guise of fighting "illegal hate speech" and "disinformation," the DSA hands EU bureaucrats godlike power to dictate what's allowed online. Platforms like X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok face crippling fines, up to 6% of global revenue, potentially billions, if they don't comply. As JD Vance warned in a recent Glenn Beck interview, "US-based firms operating in Europe are being told to align with these speech codes or face crippling fines." This isn't regulation; it's extortion.

The DSA's vague definitions of "hate speech" and "disinformation" are deliberate. Criticise mass migration? That's hate. Question climate policies? That's disinformation. Share Christian or conservative views? You're a target. X posts are ablaze with users decrying "EU speech police," and they're not wrong. Elon Musk, X's owner, has called the DSA a "disgrace," accusing Brussels of trying to "export censorship" globally. In 2024, he openly defied EU demands to remove content, warning that Europe's laws threaten the "core principles of free expression." Musk's defiance is a lone stand against a system designed to crush independent thought.

Europe once birthed the Enlightenment, championing reason, individual rights, and free speech. Now, it's defecting to a hybrid of techno-fascism, where tech giants and governments collude to control narratives, and feudalism, where elites rule and serfs obey. The DSA isn't about safety; it's about power. Unelected EU commissars decide truth, while tech companies, coerced by fines, act as their enforcers. This mirrors the feudal lords of old, who demanded loyalty and silenced heretics, only now it's digital, scalable, and global.

Vance sees the transatlantic danger: "The kind of social media censorship that we've seen in Western Europe… has made its way to the United States." He points to the Biden administration's 2021-2022 pressure on platforms to silence Covid sceptics and conservatives as proof. The EU's influence is a virus, infecting American tech firms and threatening the First Amendment. If Europe can force X to censor Christians or conservatives abroad, what's stopping them from pressuring U.S. platforms to do the same at home? Musk's warnings on X echo this: "The EU is trying to create a precedent for global speech control. We cannot let them succeed."

Europe's censorship isn't an isolated case, it's part of a global playbook: centralised control, zero dissent, and elite immunity. The elite don't need tanks anymore; they've got algorithms, fines, and laws to silence you. This is techno-fascism in action, governments and corporations merging to dictate thought, with feudal loyalty as the price of survival.

Why is Europe abandoning Enlightenment ideals? Follow the power. The DSA enriches Brussels' bureaucrats, who wield fines like a mafia shakedown, while tech giants, desperate to avoid losses, become complicit. But there's a darker agenda. X posts speculate about a "global reset," where elites use censorship to suppress resistance to their plans, be it digital IDs, climate lockdowns, or wealth grabs. The World Economic Forum's "Great Reset" rhetoric and Gates' push for global governance fuel these fears. Control speech, and you control rebellion.

Musk's defiance exposes the stakes. By refusing EU censorship demands, he's not just protecting X, he's challenging the elite's vision of a world where truth is their monopoly. A 2024 Politico report noted the EU's frustration with Musk, with one official whining that X's "non-compliance" sets a "dangerous precedent." Dangerous for whom? The overlords who want you mute. The DSA's global reach, pressuring U.S. firms to censor worldwide, shows their endgame: a digital feudal state where elites rule, and we're a voiceless serf.

Europe's free speech crackdown is a warning shot. The DSA's censorship machine, backed by billions in fines, is dismantling the Enlightenment's legacy and birthing a techno-fascist order. Vance is right: "We don't want our European friends telling social media companies that they have to silence Christians or conservatives." Musk is clearer: let this spread, and free speech dies everywhere.

This is a conspiracy unfolding in real time.

"Vice President JD Vance sounded the alarm this week over the growing international push to restrict speech, warning that aggressive censorship trends in Europe could soon clash with American constitutional principles.

Speaking with Glenn Beck, Vance stressed that transatlantic influence runs deep, and the speech policies being advanced in Europe aren't confined to their borders.

"The kind of social media censorship that we've seen in Western Europe, it will and in some ways, it already has made its way to the United States. That was the story of the Biden administration silencing people on social media," Vance said.

He argued that the US must take a firm stance in defense of First Amendment ideals and not allow foreign pressures to shape domestic policies, particularly in the digital space. "So we're going to be very protective of American interests when it comes to things like social media regulation. We want to promote free speech. We don't want our European friends telling social media companies that they have to silence Christians or silence conservatives, and I think there is going to be that friction over the next ten years."

While emphasizing that diplomatic ties remain intact, Vance acknowledged that serious ideological divisions are emerging. "It's not that we are not friends, but there're gonna have some disagreements you didn't see 10 years ago."

Vance's concerns were prompted by a question from Beck regarding troubling developments in countries like Canada and within the EU. The digital censorship framework in Europe has gone well beyond theory, with major tech companies already feeling the brunt of regulatory threats. Firms like X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok have faced mounting pressure to fall in line with EU speech codes or suffer severe financial consequences.

The EU has been leveraging the weight of its Digital Services Act (DSA) to pressure American tech companies into stricter content moderation, effectively threatening massive financial penalties if platforms fail to comply with the bloc's speech regulations.

Under the guise of targeting "illegal hate speech" and "disinformation," the DSA hands sweeping authority to EU bureaucrats to dictate what is deemed acceptable speech online. US-based firms operating in Europe are being told to align with these speech codes or face crippling fines, sometimes totaling into the billions.

The global trajectory of censorship, as Vance framed it, poses a real threat to American freedoms. The push to sanitize discourse under the guise of combating disinformation isn't stopping at any border, and it's clear some in Washington are prepared to push back.
