“The police bureau of Portland, Oregon, did away with their Gun Violence Reduction Team following budget cuts by the city council, and witnessed the highest number of murders in one month than has been seen in over 30 years. Breitbart News reported that there were 15 murders in Portland during July 2020, the most for a single month in over three decades. And the Oregonian reported there were 63 shootings in Portland in July 2020, versus 28 for the same month in 2019. This surge in violence and death correlated with the July 1, 2020, elimination of Portland police bureau’s Gun Violence Reduction Team, which Chief of Police Chuck Lovell said “the bureau was forced to cut…at the direction of the City Council.” Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler (D) made clear his plan to disband the special anti-gun violence unit on June 9. “We need to fundamentally change the police bureau and how we interact with police in our daily lives,” Wheeler said, according to KPTV. “I am hearing loudly and clearly from demonstrators that they want fundamental reform. I am hearing loudly and clearly from demonstrators that they want us to completely reimagine the way that we think about public safety in our community,” Wheeler added. “And I believe these reforms, combined with the resources that I’ve proposed we send out into the community, I believe those things work together to live up to the promise of that reimagination.” In New York City, the NYPD’s Plain Clothes Anti-Crime Unit was disbanded June 15, 2020, and the New York Post reported that the week ended with “28 [shooting] incidents and 38 victims.” On June 29, 2020, Breitbart News reported more than 110 people had been shot during a nine-day period in NYC. Just over a month later, Breitbart News reported that there had been more shootings in NYC from January 1, 2020, through August 1, 2020, than there had been in all of 2019.”

“Homicide rates have exploded by double digits and experts blame school and church closings alongside the anti-police movement, reports the Wall Street Journal. The Wall Street Journal looked at America’s 50 biggest cities and found homicides are up an average of a whopping 24 percent across the board. It is also worth noting, although the Journal tries to spin this as a bipartisan problem, that Democrats (including the “progressive” mayor of San Antonio who identifies as Independent) run seven of the top ten cities with the biggest jump in homicide rates. Democrats also run all six of the top six cities with the largest number of homicides, including Democrat-run Chicago, which the Journal notes is responsible for “more than one of every eight homicides.” The top six are Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, Houston, Los Angeles, Dallas. The experts the Journal spoke with laid the blame on the closing of schools and churches, and the left’s anti-police crusade. “Lockdowns and recession also mean tensions are running high and streets have been emptied of eyes and ears on their communities. Some attribute the rise to an increase in gang violence,” the Journal reports, adding… Schools let out young adults in March because of the pandemic and after-school activities largely stopped. Churches and other social institutions were restrained for the sake of social distancing. Police first were hit by coronavirus and then blowback in the neighborhoods they patrol after the killing in Minneapolis of George Floyd, a Black man, while in police custody. “Gangs are built around structure and lack thereof,” said Jeff La Blue, a spokesman for the Fresno police department. “With schools being closed and a lot of different businesses being closed, the people that normally would have been involved in positive structures in their lives aren’t there.””

“Murders and shootings in Chicago soared in July compared to the same month in 2019, according to a police report released on Saturday. There were 105 murders reported last month in Chicago, a spike of nearly 139% compared to July 2019. Chicago suffered 406 shooting incidents in July, surging 75% from last year. Police say that murders are up 51% in 2020, compared to the time frame of January 2019 until July 2019. There was also a 47% increase in shootings over the same period. August hasn't started off in a promising manner. So far this weekend since 6 p.m. on Friday, at least 27 people have been shot, seven were killed, including a 9-year-old boy. Chicago police responded to a shooting around 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Janari Andre Ricks was in a parking lot with friends when a gunman opened fire. The 9-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Lurie Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”

     With all of this going on the Democrats are having their version of war games, planning for their worst-case scenario of Trump getting back in, with secession of the west coast cesspool, and/or civil war.

“Democrats are contemplating secession and potential civil war as they game out possible scenarios for a closely contested election, according to a report by Ben Smith in a New York Times column Sunday. The bulk of Smith’s column is devoted to the question of how the media will handle Election Night coverage, given that the result may not be known for weeks. Vote-by-mail, which many states have only recently adopted — ostensibly, to prevent the spread of coronavirus in polling places — could lead to an uncertain result. However, buried near the end of Smith’s column is a report that Democrats have participated in a “war game” in which they considered several possible outcomes of the election. In one scenario, John Podesta — the former chair of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, and a leading figure in party circles — played former Vice President Joe Biden, and refused to concede the election. The result: the threat of secession by the entire West Coast, followed by the possible intervention of the U.S. armed forces: But conveniently, a group of former top government officials called the Transition Integrity Project actually gamed four possible scenarios, including one that doesn’t look that different from 2016: a big popular win for Mr. Biden, and a narrow electoral defeat, presumably reached after weeks of counting the votes in Pennsylvania. For their war game, they cast John Podesta, who was Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, in the role of Mr. Biden. They expected him, when the votes came in, to concede, just as Mrs. Clinton had. But Mr. Podesta, playing Mr. Biden, shocked the organizers by saying he felt his party wouldn’t let him concede. Alleging voter suppression, he persuaded the governors of Wisconsin and Michigan to send pro-Biden electors to the Electoral College. In that scenario, California, Oregon, and Washington then threatened to secede from the United States if Mr. Trump took office as planned. The House named Mr. Biden president; the Senate and White House stuck with Mr. Trump. At that point in the scenario, the nation stopped looking to the media for cues, and waited to see what the military would do. Notably, on Election Night in 2016, Podesta publicly refused to concede the election to President Donald Trump.”

     Truly amazing how this guy keeps bobbing up everywhere in this cesspool USA. We are witnessing the United States implode, which is almost certain to happen whatever way the cookie crumbles in November. Australia needs to start thinking about how it will survive in a world where the US as you know it, ceases to exist. What are you going to do about China? Surrender now and avoid the rush? Or, do you fight? How, exactly, without nuclear weapons, only migrants?
