Covid Lurked at the October 2019 Military World Games By Brian Simpson
One piece of evidence that calls into question the once mainstream bat soup hypothesis of the origin of Covid-19, is the report by a Chinese defector, that people attending the World Military Games in Wuhan, China, in October 2019, fell ill and had the same symptoms now observed in Covid. Even given this, China waited two months before notifying the world, to enable the disease to spread. That could have been an administrative foul up, but more likely was deliberate. The issue then becomes, was this a deliberate release of an accident, a matter to be investigated by other evidence, also covered at this blog.
“According to Chinese defector Wei Jingsheng, the COVID-19 outbreak was intentional and was released through the Military World Games in Wuhan, China in October 2019 and China decided to wait two months before they notified the world.
Jingsheng said the athletes fell sick after the event yet nothing was done.
A whistleblower has sensationally claimed China deliberately spread Covid at a military tournament two months before the rest of the world knew about the deadly virus.
Ex-Chinese Communist Party insider Wei Jingsheng said The World Military Games in October 2019 could have acted as the virus’ first superspreader event.
The international tournament for military athletes was held in Wuhan – the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic – two months before China notified the World Health Organisation about its first cases.
Mr Jingsheng claimed it was no coincidence some of the 9,000 international athletes who gathered for the event reportedly became sick with a mystery illness.
“I thought the Chinese government would take this opportunity to spread the virus during the Military Games, as many foreigners would show up there,” he said the new Sky News documentary What Really Happened in Wuhan.
The whistleblower revealed that he had heard of the Chinese government carrying out an “unusual exercise” during the games.
“[I knew] of the possibility of the Chinese government using some strange weapons, including biological weapons, because I knew they were doing experiments of that sort,” he said.

He said French, German and American athletes were among those to fall ill at the tournament with Covid-like symptoms, but were never tested for the virus.
‘We see some indications in our own data… that there was Covid circulating in the United States as early as early December, possibly earlier than that,’ ex-US State Department Covid-19 investigator David Asher said.
Mr Jingsheng also claims he took his concerns about the unfolding situation to senior figures within the Trump administration in November 2019 but was ignored.
The long-time democracy campaigner, who has served time in prison for ‘counter-revolutionary activities’, said he made the approach as whispers of a ‘new SARS virus’ began circulating on WeChat and other Chinese social media platforms.
‘I felt they were not as concerned as I was, so I tried my best to provide more detail and information,’ he said.
‘They may not believe that a government of a country would do something like that (cover up a virus), so I kept repeating myself in an effort … to persuade them.’
Xi Jinping’s authoritarian regime tried desperately to shut down whistle-blowers and silence any discussion of the virus in the early stages of the Wuhan outbreak – even when an untold number of corpses started flooding the city’s hospitals.
Any references made in social media about a new SARS virus or ‘outbreak’ were censored and brave medical staff who tried to speak out and warn the world were detained and forced to sign false confessions of panic-stirring.
Mr Jingsheng who was exiled to the US years earlier said he was aware of what was happening through Beijing Communist Party insiders who shared their fears about the situation and described the central government cover-up.
But despite the impending health crisis set to devastate the US and the rest of the globe, his message was not being taken seriously, he claims.
The Chinese dissident would not disclose which political leaders he spoke to but insisted they were senior government figures and had the ear of then-President Donald Trump.”

In effect, it was the first super-spreader event, and it - didn't happen at a biker rally in South Dakota.

The international tournament for military athletes was held in Wuhan, where sick patients would start overwhelming hospitals and dropping dead in the streets not even three months later after Beijing notified the WHO on New Years about the outbreak. After the games, Wei claims, some of the 9,000 athletes who attended were sickened with a mysterious illness, including French, American and German athletes.

The World Military Games, like the Olympic Games for military athletes, were held in Wuhan from October 19-27, 2019.
Wei claims he went to senior figures in the Trump Administration all the way back in November 2019, but was ignored. We now know cases of COVID may have been spreading in the US at that time - and certainly before Christmas 2019. While he wouldn't say which official he spoke to, he claims they were a "senior official" in Trump's Administration.
Per News.au, David Asher, a former COVID investigator for the State Department, says in the documentary that the Games were "suspicious."
"We do see some indications in our own data...that there was Covid circulating in the United States as early as early December, possibly earlier than that," he said.
"I mean, some of the people who came back from these Games were sick with something."
Having been exiled to the US years earlier, Wei said he was made aware of what was happening through CCP insiders who shared their fears about the situation and described the central government cover-up.
But the late fall, complaints about COVID had already begun popping up on social media in China, where they were immediately censored by the CCP, Wei adds. Finally, as the virus spread and the early efforts to cover it up and contain it failed, Beijing was left with no choice but to go to the WHO. Even at that point, Beijing continued to deny evidence of human-to-human spread - until it became obvious days later.
While there's no hard evidence that China used COVID as a bioweapon, there's plenty to suggest that the lab in Wuhan was working on viruses that looked an awful lot like COVID-19.
Just last night, we shared leaked grant documents showing a US agency - DARPA - rejecting a proposal from Peter Daszak - yes, that Peter Daszak - asking for money to fund research to infect bats with manipulated bat coronaviruses.
As we noted, the bid was submitted by Daszak, working on behalf of US-based EcoHealth Alliance (which has been wrapped up in the controversy of Dr. Fauci and his allies circumventing a US ban on "gain-of-function" research that may or may not have contributed to the global COVID pandemic), and Daszak was hoping to use genetic engineering to cobble "human-specific cleavage sites" onto bat COVID 'which would make it easier for the virus to enter human cells' - a method which would coincidentally answer a longstanding question among the scientific community as to how SARS-CoV-2 evolved to become so infectious to humans.
Were these researchers inadvertently helping the Chinese develop the most potent bioweapon of the modern age?
The worst part of this was the incompetence of the Trump administration to deal with the initial information by the defector, and to investigate those who came back ill. The treason of Trump never ends.
