Chauvin Guilty, But will Riots Continue? Will They Ever Stop? By Charles Taylor (Florida)
Former US cop Derek Chauvin has been found guilty of all three charges, including intentionally ad negligently killing Floyd, which many legal authorities have viewed as inconsistent. Second degree murder requires killing while performing another felony. Anyway, that is our legal system where if you are white you can still be guilty of mutually exclusive accounts. It shows that the jury just convicted due to fear of riots and media bias. Congress woman Maxine Waters inflamed the situation by saying that “as far as I am concerned, it’s first degree murder.” She wanted more confrontation.
It is possible that there could be an appeal based upon Waters remarks, as the trial judge has recognised. But let’s be realistic, this is a land where elections get stolen in broad daylight, so it does not matter, Chauvin was a sacrifice to the new regime. Even the knee on the neck was shown by a police training video to be part of departmental policy, if it occurred at all (perspective bias), and the police then under cross examination denied this. It is inconceivable to suppose that the jury could be impartial given that the political and media class had decided that Chauvin was guilty, at the time of Floyd’s death. What point was there even having a trial at all? And the city had paid the Floyd family compensation before the trial, indicating that it was in the bag. Our courts really are kangaroo courts, as argued here:

One recent cop shooting was of a Black who stole a car in Burnsville, Minneapolis, which led to a shoot-out, with the Black being shot dead. A bunch of whites, mainly women, organised a rally, complete with kneeling, indicating reverence, I presume. The line being taken by some now is that people like this shooter should be free to do whatever, that the police be abandoned, and the prisoned emptied. Here is one version of this position:
“Left-wing documentary filmmaker Michael Moore celebrated the jury’s guilty verdict of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, calling for an end of “white supremacy and white privilege” and demanding the U.S. to “end policing as we know it.”
“YES!! In handcuffs! Now on to the work!,” the Sicko director wrote to his six million Twitter followers. “All of us demand an end to white supremacy and white privilege. How many innocent black and brown ppl are in prison? Free them all! Arrest all police who break the law. Remove all racist cops. End policing as we know it. It doesn’t work.”
This is not the first time Michael Moore has spoken out on issues related to racial justice. During a December episode of his podcast Rumble, Moore called for the release of all “nonviolent’ criminals.
“We’ve got to really open up the prisons and let people out,” the Michael Moore in TrumpLand director said. “I mean, okay, granted there are some people that need to be separated from the rest of us, okay, we all know their names. We know who they are.”
He also called for police to be vetted “in terms of their racism” and lamented what he described as the “non-stop killing of our black and brown citizens in this country.”
“Of course nobody wants to get rid of the police. We need police, but we don’t need the police trying to be a social worker, trying to be a psychiatrist, and police have not been vetted in terms of their their racism and all the other things that we have to deal with,” Moore said.”
Politically correct, woke, anti-white police is what the Left want. Amazing to think how quickly, historically, a movement to allegedly improve workers’ rights morphed into an anti-white front, indicating that corruption was there in he beginning, and has merely grown over time.
And, maybe in this advanced stage of anarcho-tyranny the Left may be “right” but not for the reasons they think. Defunding the police and the courts may be a necessary first step in breaking up America and letting the rotten core of the apple, completely disintegrate. After all, it will be the cops at the local level who will be on the front line of gun confiscation. If cops really cared about this, they would go on strike giving people a taste of what the Left want, but, no, chiefs just continue the Leftist line, and the behaviour of the cops over the Covid lockdowns did not win them any support either, as they became the Covid police.
As usual Pelosi has the key quote: ““Speaker Pelosi speaking at presser with CBC: Thank you George Floyd for sacrificing your life for justice…Because of you and because of thousands, millions of people around the world who came out for justice, your name will always be synonymous for justice.”

Even if Chauvin was guilty of a thousand charges, Floyd was no saint sacrificing his life for justice, but a criminal; in 2009, Floyd served a five-year prison sentence as part of a plea deal on the 2007 charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, not the sort of thing saints do. At the time of his arrest, he was committing a crime, not doing charity work. But, for the Left, that does not matter, only the agenda counts; if it aids the Left, then it is moral.
“Renowned defense attorney and Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz said Tuesday that the conviction of former Minneapolis, Minnesota, police officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd should be overturned on appeal because of the public intimidation of the jury and the judge’s refusal to sequester the jury.
Dershowitz noted the “outside influence” of people like Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), who encouraged unrest at a protest on Saturday night in nearby Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, if there was no murder conviction in the case.
Chauvin was convicted Tuesday of all of the charges in the case — second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter.
Dershowitz told Newsmax:
What was done to George Floyd by Officer Chauvin was inexcusable, morally. But the verdict is very questionable, because of the outside influences of people like Al Sharpton, and people like Maxine Waters. Their threats and intimidation, and hanging the sword of Damocles over the jury, and basically saying if you don’t convict on the murder charge, on all the charges, the cities will burn, the country will be destroyed, seeped into the jury room because the judge made a terrible mistake by not sequestering the jury. So the judge himself said, this case may be reversed on appeal. And I think it might reversed on appeal. I think it should be reversed on appeal. I think the American Civil Liberties Union, which would be all over this case if it weren’t a racially-charged case, all Americans who care about due process and liberty should be concerned that the jury verdict may have been influenced by, if not the thumb, maybe even the elbow of the outside pressures, the fears, the threats. Every juror in that room knew about those threats. And when they sit and deliberate, they have to be saying to themselves, consciously or unconsciously, if I were to render a verdict other than a murder verdict, what the consequences will be, for me, and my family, my friends, my business. That should never, ever, bellowed to seep into a jury room. So I have no real confidence that this verdict — which may be correct in some ways — but I have no confidence that this verdict was produced by due process and the rule of law, rather than the influence of the crowd.
Dershowitz said that after exhausting appeals at the state level, the case “will go to the United States Supreme Court,” which held the “best possibility” of overturning the conviction, based on the judge’s own reaction to Waters’s comments.
He said that President Joe Biden was not wrong, legally, to comment on the case Tuesday once the jury had been sequestered, though there was a risk in raising expectations of a conviction, in the event that Chauvin had been acquitted.
Later, in remarks to the nation, President Biden appeared to endorse the pressure placed on the jury: “For so many, it feels like it took all of that for the judicial system to deliver a just — just basic accountability.”
That is Biden wants to have a million Left wing judges added to the Supreme court, to get any ruling they want. But, as we saw from the gutlessness of failing to even review the stolen election, Biden already has a majority Left wing court now, but overkill is the order of the day.
Like everything else, there goes the legal system.
