Central Bank Digital Currencies, Under the Skin: Sign of the Beast By James Reed

Professor Richard Werner, a leading German economist, has had considerable interaction with central banks. He believes that part of the Central Bank Digital Currencies, will be to have people having a chip, about the size of a grain of rice, implanted in their hand. This could be compared to the biblical warnings of the Beast. According to Werner, “You have to think of CDBCs as a control system [or a permit system], not a currency.” And he sees, and rightly so, as a violation of human dignity because of the extreme control factor. “They say there’s a problem of trust because people suspect that governments and central banks are just trying to roll this out in order to monitor and control and restrict transactions. They’re absolutely right,” said Werner. “That is the true attraction for central planners to this powerful technology.”

Revelation 13: 16-18, is relevant: “And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.16Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead,17so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.18This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.” There seems to be all of the elements here, except for the number, which, I suppose will turn up at some point.

“A prominent German economist says central banks plan to concretize central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) in the form of microchips implanted under the skin, a technology that would enable absolute government control over personal finances.

“I was taught by a central banker [that] the CBDCs look like a small grain of rice that they want to put under your skin,” said professor Richard Werner, who devised the now widely used (and according to Werner, abused) bank practice of quantitative easing, in a recent interview with Ivor Cummins.

Central bank digital currencies, in contrast with other forms of digital currency used today, require that individuals open bank accounts directly with central banks such as the Federal Reserve, giving governments control over citizens’ access to money.

“You have to think of CDBCs as a control system [or a permit system], not a currency,” Werner explained, adding that the level of control would be such that our money would no longer be truly our own.

Werner, who shared that he has spent time at various central banks, believes such planned implanted CBDCs are a “violation of human dignity,” adding that central bankers realize this common opinion among the masses “is a hurdle.”

“They say there’s a problem of trust because people suspect that governments and central banks are just trying to roll this out in order to monitor and control and restrict transactions. They’re absolutely right,” said Werner, adding, “That is the true attraction for central planners to this powerful technology.”

According to Werner, in the “initial phase,” CBDCs will be introduced through phone-based apps, as other forms of digital currency are currently used.

“Why hasn’t it been rolled out yet? There’s no actual need for it. That need has to be created,” Werner said.

He further predicted that central banks will use a carrot-and-stick approach to persuade people to adopt CBDCs under the skin, starting with generating economic crises that will induce a demand for universal basic income (UBI).

Werner speculated that banks will claim that they “need the latest technology, the CBDC chip implant,” in order to run the UBI “efficiently.”

He pointed out that the bankers have “deliberately delayed their agenda,” since the technology needed for launch was ready since about 2015.

The professor believes the COVID outbreak, which provided a pretext for the imposition of vaccine passports, was one important step toward their end goal of implanted CBDCs. Such CBDCs will allow for the denial of access to goods and services according to government mandate compliance, as was enforced around the world while COVID was viral.

Likewise, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Housing Catherine Austin Fitts  revealed that measures being implemented under the cover of COVID-19 lay the foundation for a new global central banking machine and a technocratic “regulatory and economic model that permits far greater central control.”

She stated that a digital surveillance and a social credit system will enable the central-bank-controlled “credit” to be “adjusted or turned off on an individual basis.”

General Manager Agustín Carstens of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has admitted this, saying that a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) would give central banks “absolute control on the rules and regulations” governing CBDC use, “and the technology to enforce that,” as Cummins showed in a video clip.

Cummins pointed out that while implanted CBDCs may sound “fanciful” or “conspiracy-theorish” to some, thousands of people have already consented to having microchips implanted under their skin to facilitate financial transactions and access to select locations, most notably in Sweden

Late last year, the first British man was implanted with a bank card microchip.

Many Christian commentators have pointed out that if such technology becomes required for access to goods and services, it would usher in totalitarianism of truly biblical proportions.

The Book of the Apocalypse refers to a “second beast” who “shall make all, both little and great, rich and poor, freemen and bondmen, to have a character in their right hand, or on their foreheads. And that no man might buy or sell, but he that hath the character, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

LifeSiteNews editor-in-chief John-Henry Westen has noted that having “some mark which allows buying and selling is not evil in and of itself,” but we should be wary of any strings attached to receiving such a mark that would make “receiving it worthy of eternal damnation.”
