Canada Just Gets Crazier! By Charles Taylor (Florida)

If one thought that Canada could not get more woke crazier than it is at present under Justin Trudeau, then get ready for former Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, who may replace Trudeau. She wants Canada to turn to the nuclear powers of Western Europe to defend the country from the US: "What is different about this unleashed and empowered President Trump is he is clearly threatening our sovereignty and we need to respond," Freeland said. "The U.S. is turning predator, and so what Canada needs to do is work closely with our democratic allies, our military allies." "I would start with our Nordic partners, specifically Denmark which is also being threatened, and our European NATO allies," she said.

Freeland sees the British and French using nuclear weapons in a battle against the US in a nuclear war. "I would be sure that France and Britain were there who possess nuclear weapons, and I would be working urgently with those partners to build a closer security relationship that guarantees our security in a time when the United States can be a threat," she said.

Interestingly enough the US was aware of this sort of conflict even before the dawn of the nuclear age, and World War II: "The U.S. military has already prepared for a conflict with Britain and its possession Canada, culminating in War Plan Red in 1930. This conflict was expected to be triggered over trade disputes with the U.K.

Interestingly, the current hostilities between the U.S. and Canada come as trade disputes are once again arising, as the U.S. begins economic cooperation discussions with Russia over Arctic resources and navigation routes, while the U.S. is also voting with Russia and not the U.K. in recent United Nations resolutions.

"The most likely scenario that might lead to a naval clash was if Britain went to war with another country while the U.S. continued to trade with it. The British would try and stop any ships believed to be heading to its enemy, but if they were American ships, possibly with an armed convoy, this risked provocation and an outbreak of hostilities," History Extra said about the U.S. military's War Plan Red. "What's more, the colossal war debt that Britain owed the US had fuelled increasing frustrations on both sides."

This new geopolitical 'split' highlights the ongoing degradation and disintegration of the post-WWII global order between the U.S. and Western Europe."
