As I have said, I am willing to get 16 Covid hexes, I mean vaxes, every day of my life, what is left of it, but, the real question is what one to get, with the abundance of richness offered to us. Just consider these mixed messages from the federal government, the doctors and other players. The question is: what is the policy on AstraZeneca for the under 60-year-olds? I don’t know. Just consider all this if you want to be confused as me:

“Doctors around the country say the federal government needs to urgently clarify its new policy on the AstraZeneca vaccine, with peak medical groups recommending that those aged under 60 should get the Pfizer vaccine in line with health advice.

Doctors say they were not consulted on the changes and that patients are confused about which vaccine they should get.

The Australian Medical Association (AMA) is advising patients aged under 60 that they should follow the advice of the nation’s top immunisation experts despite the federal government encouraging young people to consult with their doctor about whether to get AstraZeneca.

AMA president Omar Khorshid said the federal government’s change of policy on AstraZeneca would confuse patients and has been implemented without any prior discussion with doctors.

The federal government announced overnight that it was opening up eligibility for people of any age to receive AstraZeneca despite Pfizer being the preferred vaccine for those aged under 60 according to the recommendation of the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI).

“We were not expecting it,” Dr Khorshid said. “It does meet a desire in the community (for AstraZeneca) so I think from that point of view we think it’s positive, but on the flipside, we support the ATAGI decision and advice, which is that the Pfizer vaccine is the preferred vaccine for those under 60.”

But, what about Queensland? Any help there?

“Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk attacked the federal Government over its Covid vaccine advice during an extraordinary press conference on Wednesday. 

Queensland announced three new cases on the first day of its snap three-day lockdown affecting 3.5million people but the focus of the update quickly turned to the Morrison government's new recommendations for AstraZeneca and people under the age of 40.

'There has been no national cabinet decision about providing AstraZeneca to the under 40s,' the Premier said. 

'My message to Queenslanders today is please listen to Dr Young and listen to the health experts when it comes to the vaccine. 

'At the moment, the advice is for people aged 40 to 59 to get Pfizer, and people 60 and over to get AstraZeneca. 

'There has been no national cabinet decision about AstraZeneca being given to under 40s.' 

Ms Palaszczuk cited a BBC report from the UK that under 40s would be offered alternatives to the AstraZeneca vaccine because of clotting fears.   

'I do not want under 40s getting AstraZeneca,' Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young reiterated. 

'It is rare, but they are at increased risk of getting the rare clotting syndrome. We've seen up to 49 deaths in the UK from that syndrome. 

'I don't want an 18-year-old in Queensland dying from a clotting illness who, if they got Covid, probably wouldn't die.'” 

Well, I am confused. How can I get vaccines if I don’t know what to get? Save me Super-Man, Spider-man, even ScoMo Bozo!
