Australians Want Australia Day, Not “Invasion Day” By James Reed

IPA Deputy Executive Director Daniel Wild is spot on in saying that Australians have had enough of the "debate" every year, by radical Leftists and Aboriginalists, about the legitimacy of Australia Day, which these radicals have replaced with "Invasion Day." That rhetoric implies that Australia is therefore illegitimate, although by the international law of the time of settlement of Australia, invasion and conquest was a time-proven way of establishment of a society.

In any case, we are here now. And 63 percent of people in a survey support Australia Day as it is. Let's keep it, and fight for it!

"IPA Deputy Executive Director Daniel Wild says he thinks Australians are "fed up" with having the debate about Australia Day every single year.

Mr Wild's comments come after new polling shows "63 per cent" of Australians are support of Australia Day on the 26th of January.

"Fewer than one in five want to change the date," he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

"The rest don't know or don't have an opinion.

"It shows yet again how this divisive debate that no one really wants to have is being driven by a small minority of activists."
