AstraZeneca a Gift to the Over 60s Only; I Weep! By Brian Simpson

It is sad, I know, but the wondrous AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine in Australia is only going to be available for people over 60 years.  And I am just going to miss out, by two years, which led me to weeping. But, really should blood clots, perhaps in the brain, heart and other vital organs, and less important ones, be a good reason for depriving humanity of the joys of biotechnology, the fruits of   warp speed research? Some nations have banned the use of this vaccine for everyone, but surely that is an over-reaction.

I hope everyone understands satire, which has to be used nowadays for journalist survival in the anarcho-tyranny.

“The AstraZeneca vaccine is now only recommended for people aged over 60 after new advice from the nation’s immunisation regulator.

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) has recommended the AstraZeneca vaccine be administered to people aged over 60, according to Nine and the ABC.

The vaccine was only being given to those aged over 50 after ATAGI advice highlighted concerns over its links to blood clotting in younger people.

Government officials are locked in talks and are yet to make a decision on the advice, which was given to them on Wednesday.

It comes after the death of a 52-year old NSW woman last week was linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine.

NSW chief health officer Kerry Chant on Thursday revealed she had not been updated on ATAGI’s advice but was aware the regulator had been “looking closely” at the issue.”

I am sure our health care officials will sort this matter out for us, like lockdowns, masks and everything else. As one internet personality says as his by-word, “don’t worry, it is all going to be alright.” What could possibly go wrong?
