Are Atheists Genetic Mutants? Will Mutants Destroy Civilisation? By Brian Simpson

Atheists in their war against Christians, like to portray Christians as low in intelligence, believing absurdities, according to materialist science, and alleged superstitions. But an alternative take has been given to this by the “Jolly Heretic” Dr Edward Dutton, in his paper, “The Mutant Says in His Heart  - There is No God.”

The idea here is that atheism is the product of a high mutant load, that is that the atheist’s genome has mutated. The methodology of Dutton was to examine people with high mutational loads, such as auto-immune disorders, poor immune systems and genetically-based disease, and to examine any alleged correlation with holding atheism.

“Industrialisation leads to relaxed selection and thus the accumulation of fitness-damaging genetic mutations. We argue that religion is a selected trait that would be highly sensitive to mutational load. We further argue that a specific form of religiousness was selected for in complex societies up until industrialisation based around the collective worship of moral gods. With the relaxation of selection, we predict the degeneration of this form of religion and diverse deviations from it. These deviations, however, would correlate with the same indicators because they would all be underpinned by mutational load. We test this hypothesis using two very different deviations: atheism and paranormal belief. We examine associations between these deviations and four indicators of mutational load: (1) poor general health, (2) autism, (3) fluctuating asymmetry, and (4) left-handedness. A systematic literature review combined with primary research on handedness demonstrates that atheism and/or paranormal belief is associated with all of these indicators of high mutational load.”

Overall, this hypothesis poses a nasty problem for the sustainability of civilisation, as observed by Dr Michael Woodley of Men, that mutational build-ups erode civilisation. Nicholas R. Jeelvy

points out that under Malthusian conditions of natural selection, healthy men are created, and healthy men build industrial societies. But, these societies then allow the proliferation of mutants, and this ultimately leads to the collapse of such societies. This is the fundamental paradox of civilisation, and had not yet been solved. Humanity seems to go through the endless cycles of creation and then destruction, never being able to halt the inevitable decline. And, we are on the downward slope now, with very little concern about it from those who could act. In fact, the intelligentsia are doing all they can to pull civilisation down as fast as possible, as we will now see in Biden/Harris America.
