$ 4.7 Trillion, Gone with the Wind! By Charles Taylor (Florida)

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has announced that some $4.7 trillion in payments from the Treasury Department were missing a critical tracking code which made tracing the transactions "almost impossible." The reason for the failure to be tracked was that they were missing the Treasury account symbol (TAS), which is an ID code, a standard financial process, linking a Treasury payment to a budget line item.

That $ 4.7 trillion could disappear into literal thin air is absolutely stunning. And that has been revealed in only the first few weeks. Who knows what corruption has occurred in the system over the decades?
