What would Walt Disney think if he could see it all unfolding now? I have not been following the Disney woke gay lesbian trans proposals closely, being world weary and generally fatigued by the whole thing. But, it looks like it is imploding, which is good. I think back to being a kid and watching the Disney show in black and white on the old box-like TV, with equally as old Walt Disney coming on to present it, with all the different worlds. (We never saw “tomorrow land.”) But, that world of black and white has ended, to be replaced by 50 shades of grey, literally.
“The top executives of ‘children’s entertainment’ king Disney have completely lost their minds as evidenced by leaked transcripts and videos of recent meetings in which they are discussing the kind of content they want in films and programming moving forward.
Culture warrior and researcher Chris F. Rufo of the Manhattan Institute has posted a series of videos in which CEO Karey Burke, who admits that she has “two queer children,” supports having those kinds of characters in more Disney films and projects, demanding that at least 50 percent of all movie characters are gay, transgender or racial minorities.
“SCOOP: Disney corporate president Karey Burke says, ‘as the mother [of] one transgender child and one pansexual child,’ she supports having ‘many, many, many LGBTQIA characters in our stories’ and wants a minimum of 50 percent of characters to be LGBTQIA and racial minorities,” he wrote in one Twitter post containing video of Burke’s comments.
Also, Disney execs are getting rid of all references to gender, in an obvious woke pander to 0.0001 of the population.
“SCOOP: Disney diversity and inclusion manager Vivian Ware says the company has eliminated all mentions of ‘ladies,’ ‘gentlemen,’ ‘boys,’ and ‘girls’ in its theme parks in order to create ‘that magical moment’ for children who do not identify with traditional gender roles,” Rufo noted in another tweet containing a second video clip.
A third video posted by Rufo features an executive producer admitting that she and other producers who oppose Florida’s new law banning the discussion of sexual and gender ‘identity’ with K-3 students are intentionally “adding queerness” to films and programs aimed at polluting children’s minds, again to pander to a small sliver of the American public.
“SCOOP: I’ve obtained video from inside Disney’s all-hands meeting about the Florida parental rights bill, in which executive producer Latoya Raveneau says her team has implemented a ‘not-at-all-secret gay agenda’ and is regularly ‘adding queerness’ to children’s programming,” he wrote.
Believe it or not, there is some good news here.
The Daily Wire, which has been at the forefront of countering the left-wing woke ‘countercultural movement’ for the past few years, has announced a new multi-million-dollar effort to create much more child-friendly content that focuses on traditional roles, responsibilities and portrayals.
In a speech announcing the three-year, $100 million project to bring more children’s programming to the platform, Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing referenced Rufo’s videos and said, “So what are we going to do about it? We’re going to do the same thing we always do: we’re going to build alternatives.”
“You’re supposed to give kids a safe environment to be kids. You’re not supposed to be challenging kids with radical new ideas,” he noted further.
“Americans have enormous economic might, they just don’t have any alternatives. The Daily Wire is building those alternatives, and today, I’m proud to tell you that we will be launching Daily Wire Kids,” he said.
We cannot simply give up and let these lunatics ruin our culture. We have to fight back.”
“68 percent of Americans 'less likely to do business with Disney' after company's sexual politics revealed: poll
While a scant 9.4 percent said they would be "more likely" do business with Disney, a whopping 68.2 percent are less likely to do so.
After Disney publicly opposed Florida's Parental Rights in Education bill, Americans are revealed to be less likely to do business with the children's entertainment giant.
A Trafalgar Group poll asked "News reports reveal Disney is focusing on creating content to expose young children to sexual ideas. Does this make you more or less likely to do business with Disney?" While a scant 9.4 percent said they would be "more likely" do do business with Disney, a whopping 68.2 percent are less likely to do so.
The poll differentiated between Democrat and Republican voters, and even among Democrat voters, they were 48.2 percent less likely to do business with Disney. Among GOP voters, that number rose to 85.3 percent less likely. Independents, too, were less likely, at 72.5 percent.
Trafalgar asked voters if they were more likely to seek our Disney's competitors, and across all voting groups, respondents said that they would be more likely to do so.
The study was conducted over three days from April 5 to April 8, and spoke to 1079 respondents who were likely to vote in the general election. The poll has a margin of error of 2.99 percent.
This comes after Disney was revealed to be looking to inject at least 50 percent of their content with LGBTQIA+ themes by 2050 and executives at Disney lamented the signing of the Parental Rights in Education bill. Despite the corporate perspective, many Disney cast members have said they support the bill.
Disney has promised to work toward overturning the legislation, saying: "Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that."
Disney employees have also been found to have been involved in child trafficking, and employees say that this has not been addressed internally.”
One of the joys of capitalism is: take your business elsewhere!
