The Left is Doomed, Long-Term, but it’s Going to Bite Like a Severed Head! By Chris Knight (Florida)

The progressive Left in 2025 looks exactly like a dying animal that just discovered it still has claws. It's vicious, loud, and willing to tear everything apart on its way out. That's why so many people read pieces like Allan Feifer's "Why the Left is doomed" and think, "Yeah, but they don't act doomed." They act rabid.

They're both right.

The Left is doomed in every structural way that matters, but the death throes will be the ugliest political spectacle in American history. Think Soviet Union 1987–1991: the KGB was still kidnapping people while the economy was eating itself and the republics were already drawing up divorce papers. That's us, right now.

Here are the four steel laws that have already passed sentence on American progressivism. No copium can repeal them.

1.They stopped reproducing and the replacement population hates their religion. White college-educated liberals now have fertility rates that would embarrass a Shaker colony. The bluest quintile of counties in the United States averages ~1.0 children per woman. The only groups consistently above 3.0 and often above 5.0 are the precise people the Left spent fifty years calling fascists: Amish, Hasidim, Mormons, trad-Catholics, and evangelical homeschoolers. Immigration was supposed to be the progressive cheat code. It's turning into a kill shot. Second- and third-generation Hispanics are shifting right faster than any group in modern political history. Muslims poll at Taliban levels on gay marriage. Africans are the most socially conservative largecohort we have. The "emerging Democratic majority" is emerging… into the Republican Party.

2.Their governing model now produces corpses faster than it can hide them Every blue-city laboratory has had a full decade to run the experiment. Portland legalised hard drugs and became a zombie movie. San Francisco let shoplifting slide and lost its downtown. Chicago "re-imagined" policing and got 800+ murders again. The trans-kids pipeline is now old enough that detransitioner lawsuits are starting to hit the courts. Ten years ago the media could memory-hole failure. In 2025 you can smell it from orbit.

3.The money spigot is closing. Modern leftism is a hothouse flower that only blooms under endless cheap debt and cheap energy. Interest on the federal debt is now larger than the defence budget. Europe's green revolution has turned Germany into a de-industrialising basket case. California can't keep the lights on when it's cloudy and windy at the same time (which is most of the time). When the grid flickers for weeks or the EBT cards stop working, the rainbow coalition discovers that "defund the police" and "open borders" are not compatible slogans.

4.They have lost the only constituency that ever wins sustained power in this country: armed, married, working-class men. Trump's 2024 landslide with non-college men and the ongoing Hispanic male swing, have broken the Democratic coalition the same way Gorbachev's reforms broke the USSR. The only reliables left are single white women, childless cat owners with graduate degrees, and the government/academia/NGO class. That's a coalition built for TikTok, not for winning wars or holding territory.

So why does it still feel like they're winning?

Because the dying beast still controls every choke point: HR departments, the FBI, the universities, the moderation teams at every major tech platform, most of the federal judiciary, and the commanding heights of culture. They will use all of it. Expect the next eight years to feature:

Endless lawfare against anyone who wins an election they don't like.

Open calls to end the Electoral College, pack the Supreme Court, or give statehood to D.C. and Puerto Rico.

De-banking, de-platforming, and straight-up FBI investigations of "domestic extremists" (i.e., anyone who won't salute the new flag)

A final, desperate push to import and naturalise enough dependents to flip Texas and Florida before the demographic math becomes undeniable.

The Soviet analogy is exact. In 1988 the regime still looked invincible to most observers. Three years later it was gone and the statues were toppled. The Left in 2032 will be the same: a historical curiosity that nobody under 30 can believe ever held power.

But between now and then, severed heads can still bite.

The only question is whether we let them drag the country down with them in one last orgy of spite. The correct Right-wing nationalist answer is simple and brutal: No bailouts. No bipartisan "healing." No slowing down the collapse of the blue model. Let San Francisco, Chicago, and New York reap the whirlwind they sowed. Accelerate the failure. Force the reckoning.

The Left is already dead. It just hasn't stopped screaming yet.

And when it finally goes quiet, the future will belong to the people who still have children, still believe in borders, and still know which bathroom to use.
