Strange Times: Former CDC Director Supports Trump and Robert Kennedy Jr., By Chris Knight (Florida)

Former U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Robert Redfield, who served under Trump during the former president's first term, recently told the media that both Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have "got everything right."

Redfield surely knows of Robert Kennedy's book attacking Dr Fauci, and Redfield himself as well. Endorsing Trump is one thing, but the comments made about Kennedy are puzzling. It seems that Redfield has done a 180-degree turn. But, why? Speculation is that he may be covering himself in the very remote chance that Trump does win, and Kennedy becomes a health czar, his life ambition. It could well be a self-protection mechanism.

"Donald Trump just received another glowing endorsement, this time from former U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Robert Redfield.

Redfield, who served under Trump during the former president's first term, told the media that both Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have "got everything right," which is why Redfield plans to vote for them this November.

Kennedy was reportedly surprised and "appalled" to find out that Redfield endorsed even him, seeing as how Kennedy has criticized Redfield in the past. Even so, Redfield would rather have Trump and J.D. Vance in the White House than Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

"Robert Redfield, who I really go after in my Fauci book, wrote an editorial in Newsweek magazine today saying that he was endorsing President Trump because President Trump was gonna restore American health," Kennedy is quoted as saying.

It appears, based on what he wrote in the editorial, that Redfield supports Trump precisely because of his alignment with Kennedy.

"[Trump] has chosen exactly the only person who can do this: Robert F. Kennedy Jr.," Redfield wrote about how Trump and Kennedy are the only guys on the ticket capable of restoring American health.

"This was breathtaking to me because this is the guy who's the head of the CDC that I've been criticizing for years, and then this afternoon he came over and had lunch with me," Kennedy continued in a statement. "And the first thing he said to me is, 'you got everything right.'"

Will Trump and Kennedy save American health?

While Trump has repeatedly touted himself, and himself alone, as the only option that Americans have, period, to clean up the mess the country now finds itself in, Collin Rugg clarified on Twitter / X that Trump is simply the better pick as opposed to Kamala.

Redfield, mind you, did not always approve of Trump, either. Between Trump's actions and Kennedy's statements, it is, indeed, shocking, at least on the surface, for Redfield to endorse Trump and Kennedy like he is.

"It's crazy how the 'experts' who were once part of the problem are finally waking up," tweeted someone in response to the news. "Maybe people will realize Trump was right all along."

"That's a stunning turnaround," wrote another. "RFK has gone after this guy relentlessly the past few years. For this man to turn around and admit he was wrong and apologize to RFK is wild."

According to Cash Loren, what the world is witnessing right now is "a once in a generation political movement" that many expect will result in serious changes across the American landscape.

"Trump is uniting Americans in a way that many thought not possible," Loren said.

"The things Redfield can reveal are massive," said another. "I'll bet Fauci fainted."

Others expressed a bit more skepticism about Redfield's sudden endorsement. Could it be that Redfield knows what is coming and is desperately trying to land himself on the side that wins?

"He sees the writing on the wall of what's coming and wants to get on the right side of history while he still can redeem himself," one said towards this end.

"Redfield sees the writing on the wall and wants to crawl back into the good graces of the people that will be in power," said another."

One can but hope.
