Private Jets, Private Yachts; The Rich Elites are the Real Carbon Emitters By Chris Knight (Florida)

We see the open contempt that the Davos elites have for we, the ordinary people, where at their talkfests they always have an anti-meat, let the people eat insects, grubs and bugs speech by some mousey academic type, while the tribe feasts on meat, and gets special services from prostitutes shipped in for the event.

In this context of hypocrisy, it is ironic to note that the non-profit Oxfam International, itself a globalist organisation, has published a report showing that these one percent elites emit the same amount of carbon as the world’s poorest two-thirds, or five billion people. Yes, those who are advocating the end of meat and fossil fuels for the world, do so while being the greatest polluters! This is an ideological weapon that should be used by activists against climate change alarmism: if you want to save the planet that you say has only ten years or whatever left (a nonsense claim in itself), then how about starting with the great polluters, the global rich, with their private jets and luxury yachts?

“Private jets. Private yachts. Multiple holidays a year. Garages full of luxury vehicles. Investments driving – and profiting from – high polluting fossil fuel industries. These are just some of the factors that combine to see global elites, who comprise one percent of the planet’s population, emit the same amount of carbon as the world’s poorest two-thirds, or five billion people, an analysis published Sunday by the nonprofit Oxfam International details.

All this as the same rich and famous “super-emitters” from business, finance, entertainment, and politics tell the less fortunate to mind their carbon footprints.

While claiming to care about the earth’s environment is a shared challenge, not everyone is equally responsible for meeting desired outcomes, Max Lawson, who co-authored the report, told AFP.

“The richer you are, the easier it is to cut both your personal and your investment emissions,” he told the outlet. “You don’t need that third car, or that fourth holiday, or you don’t need to be invested in the cement industry.”
