Politicians Do the Most Suspicious of Things, By James Reed

I puzzle how some US politicians have tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars, said to be from investments, as their salaries would never generate that amount of money, or even the capital to get the investments up and running. Yes, so good, that they make remarkable decisions, almost as if they have insider trading knowledge. Which they no doubt do. And that is not an issue restricted to America; I think ATO/Federal police investigations should be made into the wealth of various Australian public figures as well, as exhibited by their, shall we say, suspicious lifestyle choices, at least as exposed in the public domain. It goes right down the line, with so many in ethnic communities having multiple houses, "grass houses," while working ordinary jobs.ATO is too busy dealing with working Aussie small businesses, to touch that political hot potato.

Take Kamala Harris. She was admitted to law school through University of California-San Francisco's Legal Education Opportunity Program for students with "educational disadvantage, economic hardship, or disability," While it is hard to believe given Harris' public performances, both of her parents held the degree of PhD, and were professors. So, where is the disadvantage here, unless what is meant by the term is "non-White"?

"Vice President Kamala Harris was admitted to law school through University of California-San Francisco's Legal Education Opportunity Program for students with "educational disadvantage, economic hardship, or disability," according to the law school's magazine.

Democratic nominee Harris is a 1989 graduate of the program, according to a 2018 article in UC Law SF Magazine.

"LEOP offers admission to approximately 50 high-achieving students each year—up to 20 percent of the class—who have experienced major life hurdles, such as educational disadvantage, economic hardship, or disability," the article says. "The majority are students of color."

The Harris campaign did not respond to The Daily Signal's question about which "major life hurdles" qualified the vice president for the Legal Education Opportunity Program.

After moving to the U.S. from India, Harris' mother, Shyamala Gopalan Harris, earned a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and became a renowned researcher and professor.

Harris' father, Donald Harris, also held a PhD from Berkeley. He became a tenured professor at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, then returned to California in 1972 to become a professor of economics at Stanford University."
