Remember that Nick X team, who claim to stand for freedom and independence, voted against the reforms to section 18 C, for reasons you can well guess: http://www.skynews.com.au/news/top-stories/2017/03/31/senate-votes-down-18c-reforms.html
“Labor, the Greens, the Nick Xenophon Team and crossbencher Jacqui Lambie opposed changes to the wording of 18C, robbing the government of the 39 votes it needs to get it through the upper house.”
We must never forget that and South Australians need to pay them back at election time by voting them out.
Here are more reasons:
“In a shock move with implications for the next South Australian election, Nick Xenophon’s only state MP John Darley has quit the party, accusing the high-profile senator of being a “dictator”.
“He is like a dictator — it is his way or the highway,” Mr Darley told The Australian yesterday.
Mr Darley, who replaced Senator Xenophon in state parliament, yesterday said he would sit as an independent upper house MP after a behind-the-scenes falling out with Senator Xenophon and others in the Nick Xenophon Team and SA Best.
Senator Xenophon established SA Best as a stand-alone state party ahead of the state election on March 17 next year.”
There is good news though given this recent article: http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/uk-home-office-confirms-key-crossbench-senator-nick-xenophon-is-a-dual-citizen-20170819-gxzu0g.html:
“Nick Xenophon has confirmed he holds dual British citizenship and may not be eligible to sit in Parliament, becoming the seventh MP whose position has fallen under a cloud.
Though born in Adelaide, Senator Xenophon’s father Theo was born in Cyprus, which remained a British colony until 1960. He migrated to Australia in 1950, where Senator Xenophon was born.”
Hopefully, Nick will be found ineligible to sit in parliament. I hope that all those found ineligible will have to pay back their salaries, and have their superannuation terminated since they illegally sat in parliament. They deserve it. Sure, they will squeal, but look at all those poor people who have been given Centrelink debts, which they have to pay back, sometimes because of “sole administrative error” of Centrelink, and sometimes when Centrelink even knows that the people are innocent:

Why should politicians be above the law, and be given special treatment? P eople of Australia, make them pay back this money!
