My Kingdom for a Covid Vaccine! Any Vaccine! Just Jab Me! By Brian Simpson

ATAGI advice continues to recommend Pfizer for younger people, but Scott Morrison wants Australians to get the AstraZeneca jab, maintaining that it’s in the country’s public health interests. Supplies of the much sought after Pfizer vaccines are still limited. So, ScoMo is doing what he can, because why worry about a few blood clots here and there in young people, which is rare, isn’t it? It makes sense, doesn’t it? And all those countries with a policy that disagrees with Australia, as documented below, they must be wrong, mustn’t they? What would the European nations know, anyway? What could possibly be wrong with the policy, anything? Beats me; seems good and reasonable, based upon pure concentrated science. Isn’t it? Critics, give the PM a break!

“PM takes responsibility for rollout issues

Despite ATAGI advice continuing to recommend Pfizer for younger people, Scott Morrison has implored Australians to get the AstraZeneca jab, saying it’s in the country’s public health interests, as he takes responsibility for problems in the vaccination rollout.

Amid a widespread outbreak of the highly transmissible Delta variant and with supplies of Pfizer vaccines still limited, the Prime Minister asked Australians to have the conversation with GPs about getting the AstraZeneca jab.

“My message is that people should be getting vaccinated as soon as possible with the vaccines available for them to get vaccinated. That is my message. And that is what I think is in Australia’s public health interests,” Mr Morrison told a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

“If you’re vaccinated, you’re at less risk to yourself, to your family, to your community, and indeed, the nation.”

While the vaccination rate has ramped up recently, Mr Morrison said the rollout remained two months behind what was agreed on by National Cabinet late last year, and accepted he was ultimately responsible for the issues.

“Those delays are regrettable, we all know they’re the result of many factors,” he said. “Sure, there is going to be plenty of critics and hindsight. They will have various motivations for doing that.”

“I take responsibility for the problems that we have had, but I am also taking responsibility for the solutions we’re putting in place and the vaccination rates that we are now achieving.”

Really, how can one not like ScoMo? He is basically an ok guy, doing a tough job that nobody else wants. But, just look at the flak he cops.

“Australian Medical Association President Omar Khorshid has slammed Scott Morrison for putting “unfair pressure” on the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation over AstraZeneca.

Speaking in Canberra on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said his government was making “constant appeals” to ATAGI to reconsider its current advice that it prefers under 60s get Pfizer over AstraZeneca.

Dr Khorshid said on Wednesday that he understood Mr Morrison’s frustrations, but he and Health Minister Greg Hunt made the final calls on vaccinations.

“We are certainly concerned that the experts - who are doing their best - are under unfair pressure. At the end of the day, this is an advisory body. The government and the Minister for Health make the decisions, not ATAGI,” the AMA president told The Australian.

“We understand the Prime Minister’s frustration on AstraZeneca but these decisions are made based on science.

“Sure, ATAGI could make changes to the AZ advice based on no access to substantial access to Pfizer and worsening outbreaks. We will see if we can get on top of these outbreaks in coming weeks ... but ultimately, it’s the government that makes the decisions and they can change them.”

Sounds good, so don’t listen to those annoying European nations:

“More than a dozen countries, mostly in Europe, have suspended the use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine over fears the shot may have caused some recipients to develop blood clots.

Sweden and Latvia on Tuesday became the latest nations to halt the rollout, following moves by Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Denmark, Norway, and The Netherlands, among others.”

“A new study published in the medical journal of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) clearly delineates that the AstraZeneca needle for [Covid] Germs is riskier for young people than “catching” the [Covid] Virus itself. For every 10 deaths that the jab supposedly prevents, it causes an additional 21 deaths through blood clots.

“Our results highlight the clear benefit of the distribution of Vaxzevria towards the population aged 55 years and older and provide valuable insight for public health decision making,” the study concluded, Vaxzevria being the brand name of AstraZeneca’s covid injection.

Government bodies across Europe had earlier used this data to warn that only the elderly should take the … injection due to their allegedly higher risk of developing a case of the Wuhan Flu. Now, however, governments are spreading propaganda about “variants” as an excuse to claim that young people should get the jab, too, in order to stay “safe” and “love thy neighbor.”

On July 5, Ireland’s Health Services (HSE) announced that because of the “delta variant,” all 18-34-year-olds are now eligible to take the AstraZeneca injection, which is reportedly available at 750 pharmacies throughout the country.

Beginning on July 12, Irish young people in this age group were given access to a registration portal through which they can now sign up to get jabbed if they so choose.

“If someone aged 18 to 34 would prefer to get their vaccine at a HSE vaccination centre, they can wait and register online later this month,” a spokesperson is quoted as saying.

“In the case of those who choose to opt for the AstraZeneca or Janssen shots, getting either of these vaccines will mean they will be vaccinated earlier,” this person added, explaining that young people will have to wait a whole lot longer if they opt for either the Pfizer or Moderna injections.

“People receiving Vaxzevria are advised of the very rare risk of blood clots, the symptoms to look out for and to seek urgent medical attention,” the spokesperson further explained. “Healthcare professionals are also aware of this and the investigation and management of such cases.”

I don’t see what all the fuss is about? Are blood clots really so bad? I don’t know. Anyway, back to Netflicker in the lockdown.
