Lara Trump: I Won’t Back Down By Mrs Abigail Knight (Florida)

Lara Trump, one of the Trump dynasty, released a version of the Tom Petty song, I Won’t Back Down. A billboard was paid to advertise the song in Time’s Square, but the ad, featuring Lara Trump on horseback, did not have her name or song title. The company doing this said that the Trump name was a problem, or words to that effect. But presumably they took the money for the ad. Thus, one more litigation.

However, this sort of nasty, if not childish attack, has only given massive exposure to the song; I saw an interview that Lara did with Sky News Australia. We would not have heard of the song otherwise. The female interviewer, who got on with Lara like a proverbial house on fire, said it could be a campaign song. The lyrics are below; not a bad version from Lara too. The song could well be a theme song for all of us fighting the elites. We won’t back down.

“Lara Trump has accused Apple Music of shadow banning her amid the release of her new song, I Won't Back Down - and claimed that a Times Square billboard company 'discriminated' against her by refusing to put up an ad with the 'Trump' name on it.

Lara, 40, the wife of former President Donald Trump's son Eric Trump, dropped a cover of Tom Petty's 1989 track on Friday - but she has claimed that streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify have 'buried it way down' and made it nearly impossible to find due to her family history.

'Sadly it’s to be expected with our last name. I wish I was surprised, but I’m not,' she told DailyMail.com exclusively.

The former TV producer explained that soon after the song came out at midnight, she received a slew of messages from people who told her they were unable to locate it online.

'The song dropped at midnight, and then today I get all of these messages from people saying that they’re looking for my song on Apple Music and they can’t find it or it’s buried way down,' she continued.

'I haven’t contacted Apple because I’m leaving that to my music producer, but It’s obvious to everyone what’s happening. My song doesn’t even come up as an option for [some] people.'

When you search for I Won't Back Down on Apple Music, Lara's rendition of the song does not come up in the results.

And when you click on Lara's name, the tune only appears below eight others songs - including parody tracks like a fake rap battle between her father-in-law and Hillary Clinton and a song called Fake News II.

In addition, when you type in the track name on Spotify, it's not listed in the results, and it's only accessible when you search for her full name.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Spotify and Apple Music for comment.

Lara also alleged that she had paid for a billboard in New York City's Time Square to promote the new song through a media company called Clear Channel.

But she said she was told by the agency just hours before it was meant to go live that they didn't want to run it with her full moniker because 'the Trump name is a problem,' which Lara slammed as 'discriminatory' and 'insulting.'

"I Won't Back Down"

Well, I won't back down
No, I won't back down
You can stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won't back down

No, I'll stand my ground
Won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down
Gonna stand my ground
And I won't back down

(I won't back down) Hey, baby
There ain't no easy way out
(I won't back down) Hey, I
Will stand my ground
And I won't back down

Well, I know what's right
I got just one life
In a world that keeps on pushin' me around
But I'll stand my ground
And I won't back down

(I won't back down) Hey, baby
There ain't no easy way out
(I won't back down) Hey, I
Will stand my ground
(I won't back down) And I won't back down

(I won't back down) Hey, baby
There ain't no easy way out
(I won't back down) Hey, I
Won't back down

(I won't back down) Hey, baby
There ain't no easy way out
(I won't back down) Hey, I
Will stand my ground
(I won't back down) And I won't back down
(I won't back down) No, I won't back down”
