In a stunning display of moral "courage," Germany has once again reaffirmed its commitment to progressive values, this time, by transforming its school system into a sprawling social experiment in forced multicultural harmony, punctuated occasionally by stabbing incidents.
The latest government data, reluctantly released in response to a parliamentary question from the populist heretics at AfD, reveals that 40 percent of suspects in school violence cases in 2024 were not German citizens. Syrian nationals led the field with 1,236 suspects, an impressive showing in a nation still grappling with the implications of its "refugees welcome" enthusiasm. Afghans came in second, because of course they did.
But let's not jump to conclusions. After all, numbers can be misleading, especially when they're this consistent. What's a few thousand violent altercations between classmates when the higher moral goal is diversity?
Let's focus on the positives: 740 knife attacks on school grounds is only about two per day, and while some might view that as alarming, others could interpret it as the vibrant flowering of "cultural exchange." A machete in a German classroom? That's not violence. That's world cinema live on stage!
Of course, the real scandal isn't the knife fights, drug smuggling, sexual assaults, or gang intimidation in schools, it's the way data is recorded. As the report helpfully notes, even individuals with dual citizenship are counted as "Germans" in the statistics. This policy, presumably, was designed by someone who feared that any granular analysis might rupture the sacred illusion that integration is going swimmingly.
Contrast this with Denmark, which tracks criminal records of immigrants and their children, presumably so they can learn from reality, rather than legislate it out of existence.
But not Germany. No — Germany dreams on. And in this dream, each classroom is a crucible of multicultural understanding, where conflict is just a misunderstood opportunity for empathy, and every act of violence is a misunderstood cry for help from someone traumatised by the journey from Aleppo to Augsburg.
And the children? Well, they'll learn resilience. Nothing builds character like watching your classmate brandish a butterfly knife over a desk dispute. Consider it vocational training, in trauma management, conflict resolution, and the art of ducking flying chairs … and knives.
With 94,318 total school-related crimes in a single year, including thousands of violent incidents, nearly a thousand knife attacks, and an 11.3% rise in crimes committed by children under 14, one might expect serious policy reconsideration. Instead, we're told these are "challenges of integration" that must be met with more funding, more tolerance, and preferably, more censorship of anyone who points out what's actually happening.
The truth is this: If this data doesn't signal that something is catastrophically wrong with the mass migration program, then nothing will. And perhaps that's the point.
We are no longer dealing with policy based on reality. We are managing a noble lie, the kind Plato warned about: a carefully cultivated myth that multiculturalism is inherently enriching, regardless of actual outcomes. A myth so fragile that even reporting on the lived experiences of teachers and students is seen as dangerous, because it risks waking people up.
But let's give the last word to AfD MP Martin Hess, former police instructor and current pariah in Germany's political elite: "Anyone who allows millions of culturally alien young men into the country and believes that integration will happen on its own is endangering internal security and social peace."
But don't expect anyone in Berlin to listen. They're too busy building more school counselling centers, writing anti-racism curricula, and planning the next Diversity Week, ideally somewhere far from the knife drawer.
Because nothing says "progress" quite like the sound of a metal detector at your child's school gate.
"New data shows that 40 percent of all suspects identified in school violence in 2024 were not German citizens, with Syrians at the top of the charts.
In total, there were 4,254 foreign suspects and 7,309 suspects with German citizenship, the German government announced in response to a parliamentary inquiry from Alternative for Germany (AfD) MP Martin Hess.
Of the 11,558 suspects in total, 1,236 had Syrian passports, representing one in ten violent incidents, according to the data, which was provided to Welt newspaper.
In second place were Afghans, who represented 3.6 percent of all suspects.
What should be noted is that an extremely large number of German suspects are individuals with a foreign background, but since they have German passports, they are counted solely as "Germans." Even with those with dual citizenship, they are only counted as Germans. Neighboring Denmark records the data of Danish citizens with a foreign background, giving the country a better idea of integration efforts and trends in foreign crime.
In total, there were 35,570 violent crimes in Germany's school system last year. That amounts to 97 violent crimes per day. Of those crimes, 740 were knife attacks. That is over two knife attacks per day.
However, when all crimes are taken into account, they total 94,318. On top of that, 24,292 crimes took place at school events, such as a school field trip or theatrical production, which also included an additional 284 incidents involving a knife.
"These are shocking figures that show that our children are exposed to increasing danger even in supposedly protected areas," commented AfD MP Birgit Bessin, who submitted the parliamentary question.
The number of crimes among young people in general grew by 3.8 percent from 2023 to 2024, according to crime data (PKS), and for children under 14 years of age, they rose by 11.3 percent to 13,755.
AfD domestic affairs expert Hess says the connection between mass immigration and growing dangers inside schools is clear.
"These worrying developments are a direct result of the irresponsible mass immigration of recent years," he told Junge Freiheit. "Anyone who allows millions of culturally alien young men into the country and believes that integration will happen on its own is endangering internal security and social peace."
Hess told the German news outlet that there needs to be a "rethink" on the issue.
"We need effective border controls, the decisive deportation of criminal foreigners, and an end to the ideologically motivated multicultural experiment," said the former police instructor. The state must "once again be a sanctuary for citizens, not an educational project of left-wing utopians."
