Boston Mayor Michelle Wu recently declared that "every human has a legal right to the United States." This is not a fringe opinion, it reflects the core belief of the modern open-borders Left, across the West. In their worldview, national borders are immoral constructs, citizenship is a global human right, and Western nations have a moral obligation to absorb anyone who arrives, regardless of numbers, skills, or cultural compatibility.

If this principle is true, then it must apply universally. If every human has a legal right to the United States (and Australia etc.), then every human must also have a legal right to non-white China, Japan, South Korea, India, Saudi Arabia, or any other nation on Earth. Fair is fair.

The Logical Conclusion

China, with its 1.4 billion people and tightly controlled borders, would be morally required to open its gates to the millions of Africans eager to migrate. Africa's population is projected to reach 2.5 billion by 2050, with many young people already seeking better opportunities abroad. Under Wu's logic, China should immediately begin processing millions of African migrants, granting them full legal rights, housing, welfare, healthcare, and eventual citizenship. No vetting. No limits. No questions about assimilation or cultural fit.

Of course, this will never happen. China maintains strict immigration controls, prioritises its own people, and shows zero interest in demographic transformation through mass African migration. Japan, South Korea, and most non-Western nations operate on the same principle: nations exist for their own peoples first.

This exposes the breathtaking hypocrisy at the heart of Western open-borders ideology. The same activists and politicians who demand the West dissolve its borders and accept unlimited third-world migration fiercely defend or ignore the sovereignty of non-Western nations. They cheer demographic change in Europe, America, and Australia, while remaining silent about ethno-nationalist policies in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Civilisational Suicide by Design

The result in the West is predictable and devastating. Uncontrolled migration drives housing shortages, strains welfare systems, suppresses wages, increases crime in many areas, and erodes social trust. Native birth rates are already below replacement. Importing millions who often maintain higher fertility and parallel societies accelerates replacement rather than renewal. Boston's own struggles with migrant costs, shelter overload, and public disorder are microcosms of the broader Western crisis.

Australia faces the same pressure. High migration surges have worsened our housing crisis and integration challenges, yet elites continue the same rhetoric: borders are mean, diversity is strength, and questioning it is racist. Meanwhile, countries like China laugh all the way to demographic security.

If "every human has a legal right" to the West, then consistency demands the West has the right to demand the same from others. The fact that this demand is never made reveals the true motive: not universal human rights, but the targeted transformation and weakening of Western nations.

Time to Reject the Double Standard

Sovereign nations have the fundamental right, and duty, to control their borders and prioritise the security and prosperity of their existing citizens. This is not cruelty. It is basic governance and self-preservation. Japan, China, and Israel understand this. The West must relearn it before the demographic window closes permanently.

Mayor Wu's statement is not compassionate idealism: it is civilisational surrender. If every human truly has a right to America, then America (and Australia, Britain, and Europe) will cease to exist as recognisable nations. The logical endpoint is not a borderless utopia, but a fractured, low-trust world where only nations willing to defend themselves survive.

The choice is clear: either borders matter for everyone, or they matter for no one. The current one-way application of open-borders logic is not morality. It is demographic warfare against the West. Australia and the broader West must reject it outright and reclaim the sovereign right to decide who enters and becomes part of our nations. Anything less is national suicide by invitation.
