The climate change talkfest COP29 has ended with the main resolution being that Western nations, but not China, which is absurdly classified as "developing" and will be forever, must cough up big money, to the proposed tune of $ 1.3 trillion per year. At present around $ 100 billion is given in the form of repayable loans, but the Third world, who apparently suffer from climate change ills, want free money. Well, who does not? Actually, the final figure was $ 300 billion per year, much along the same lines at present.
Fortunately, Trump will pull out of the Paris Climate Accord, which should pull the rug out from under all this shonky business:
