This week’s The Report from Tiger Mountain, by Richard Wolstencroft, puts the thesis that progressive politics, at least from the Left is dead. He assigns the date of death as the year 2010, after which the Left moved from things like gay marriage and transgenders, to supporting the totalitarianism of the neo-liberal globalists. He sees our side of politics, the Dissent Right, as the real “progressives,” fighting for traditionalist ideals in a toxic globalist environment. I agree in part, but see the Left as always having this totalitarian urge, which erupts whenever they get absolute power. The Left is totalitarian now, because simply, their power level has increased, as in some monstrous computer game. Only thing is, we are the players, like it or not!
