I must concur with this. If anything, it is an optimistic prediction, since a strong case can be made that freedom has already ended, and that we are effectively techno-slaves. This is much like the claim that we need to fight the making of a new World Order, when already the globalists have effectively created this, and financially enslaved the world many times over.
