There is a Twitter twit hashtag, something that always reminds me of hash browns, #filmyourhospital, where people go to their hospital (question: violating quarantine?) and film activity, all allegedly showing relatively empty hospitals. Of course, people are in lock down, elective surgery has ben cancelled, and Suzy soccer mom types, taking Suzy to hospital because she fell over and skinned her knee, are no longer there. This, though, has been advanced as an argument by the coronaviral-sceptics to show that there is no crisis as all, that the emergency tents seen in previous flue seasons are not there, so this is all a storm in a teacup, or whatever the microbiological metaphor is. I have no full explanation for this. The sceptics could be right – I am keeping an open mind about this is coverage, and considering all points of view. But it is odd and definitely something to be kept monitoring.
