It was a bad computer day at the community centre down the road from where I live, and where I work on this exciting material, not owning a lippy, flippy, lappy top. Everything seemed to freeze up, and I could not even save the manuscript that I was working on. The computer was so frozen that icicles began to form on it, and the temperature of the room dropped. Was this global warming in reverse; the start of a new ice age, as speculated on the net?

Who would not trust a bald-headed man with a flowing moustache? It was only after a desperate phone call to the editor in Adelaide, who calmed me down, was I able to think my way out of the cyber-prison where I had been put. Just accept that the essay, one of my most brilliant, had disappeared down the IT toilet, and that I needed to dust the dust of my dusty sandals and then get more dust back on them, working somewhere else, where I am now, namely another community centre, reachable only by bus, but with much cleaner computers. Then, my heart dropped when I got this via electronic carrier pigeon:

“Microsoft has paused the October update of its Windows 10 operating system after reports that some users found their documents disappeared once it was installed. On its support page, the firm asks affected customers to use their device as little as possible and to phone their local helpline. It is also asking people who have downloaded the update manually not to install it. The firm said the cases were isolated. "Microsoft has paused the roll-out of the update while we continue to investigate reports from some customers," the firm said in a statement. "Last night I updated to 1809, and it all went smoothly, but then I find that all my files in Documents are deleted. Gone. Poof. This included many crucial documents and financial info," wrote Stuart Dole on a forum on the Microsoft website. At time of writing there were 470 people who had the same question, with some reporting other issues as well.”
May God have mercy on them. Really, Microsoft has so many bugs in it, that software should be sold with a can of bug spray, no, a 44 gallon drum of it! All versions of Word have aspects, in my opinion, which are the exact opposite of being user friendly; rather there is user hostile aspects of software that just wear you down until you really are soft, which is why it is called “software.”
While searching YouTube for computer answers, I found this story about two girls who share one body, that is, two heads on one body:

My goodness, if they can solve the problems of life, such as how to sleep on one’s side, let alone sex, then I must man up and not let computers get me down. I will go back to university next year and study computing and linear algebra. That will surely help, along with increasing my intake of alcohol. Or else grow two heads. But, we will not go where angels fear to tread.
