Wow, Inequality Undermines Democracy By Richards Miller

Who would have thought this, that increasing inequality would undermine democracy, whatever that means now:

“Widening inequalities in pay, health and opportunities in the UK are undermining trust in democracy, says an Institute for Fiscal Studies report. The think tank warns of runaway incomes for high earners but rises in "deaths of despair", such as from addiction and suicide, among the poorest. It warns of risks to "centre-ground" politics from stagnating pay and divides in health and education. The report says such widening gaps are "making a mockery of democracy". The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), one of the country's leading research institutes, is launching what it says is the UK's biggest analysis of inequality. That will be chaired by Nobel Prize-winning economist Prof Sir Angus Deaton. He said "people were troubled by inequality" more than at any time since the 1940s - and the impact was so serious that it suggested "democratic capitalism is broken".

The emerging social chaos is leading to young people embracing the so-called far Right, and since no-one else cares about their impending destruction, hell, why not?

“They are strikingly young, but emphatic that they should not be considered newcomers. Rather, they are claiming the mantle of Old Europe at its most traditional. Several of this year’s far-right candidates in Europe are well under the age of 30 — just like some of their most ardent supporters. In Belgium, the telegenic Dries Van Langenhove, who is among the top picks on the list for the far-right party Vlaams Belang, is 26. In France, the head of the far-right National Rally slate for the upcoming European Parliament elections is 23 and has been a card-carrying party member since the age of 16. In Denmark, the lead candidate from the Danish People’s Party is a 29-year-old who is already a veteran campaigner. And in Spain, the chief spokesman for the Vox party is 27 and was elected to parliament last month. These candidates are part of a growing attempt by Europe’s far-right parties to gear their anti-migration, euroskeptic message to the young, with everything from beer nights for adults and bouncy castles for kids to an outsized presence on social media, the Associated Press has found. Young European voters are responding with a rightward shift sometimes faster and farther than their elders — as illustrated by voting results or party rolls from Italy, France, Spain and Austria.”

It will be interesting to see how this all pans out as the destruction of traditional Europe is in full swing. Italy’s based politician Salvini has laid it on the line, that the entire future of Western civilisation in Europe is now at stake, and that unstopped mass immigration threatens to turn Western Europe into an Islamic state:

“Italian populist leader and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini has warned that if the sovereigntist and populist parties do not make a breakthrough in European elections next week, some nations could head down the path of becoming Islamic states. Mr Salvini announced a large-scale rally would be taking place in Milan next week, which will include representatives from various populist and sovereigntist parties such as French Rassemblement National leader Marine Le Pen. Speaking over the weekend following a meeting in Albenga, Salvini stressed the importance of a populist election victory, newspaper Il Giornale reports. “Either we save Europe now or we leave our children with an Islamic state based on fear and precariousness. And I want a generation that is free and proud,” Salvini said and announced the Milan rally would take place on Saturday in the famous Piazza del Duomo, where Il Giornale claims that up to one hundred thousand people could attend the event.”

Apart from the obvious ethno-racial cultural issues that concern matters of European identity, there are baseline concerns about employment, at a time when artificial intelligence is displacing workers. It makes no sense, as the new class elites constantly say, to proclaim that the economy needs more labour, while eliminating jobs via machines. In fact, even small reductions in immigration help local workers:
  https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/05/14/brexit-boom-bosses-offering-higher-pay-better-hours-eu-migration-falls/

“While immigration to Britain remains near record highs, modest reductions in the inflow from the European Union since the Brexit vote has led to bosses increasing pay and drawing more heavily on native workers. In a brief, comparatively little-publicised report on the behaviour of LinkedIn members published by the Telegraph, the business-oriented social network revealed that the number of users ¬moving from Continental ¬Europe to the United Kingdom has fallen by 30 per cent from 2016, when the British people voted for Brexit, and 2019. This reduction in foreign labour has been accompanied by around half of employers offering higher pay to prospective workers, to make them more enticing to British workers, with around two-fifths also offering better working hours.”

World War IV is essentially the battle against the destructive forces of globalisation.
