Wade Body Slams the Covid Compliant Media! By Brian Simpson
Fauci, oh great Covid guru, and the WHO and other politically correct entities, are now open to the lab origin of Covid-19. In fact, early in 2020, the Chinese had implied that there was a lab release, but that it was under control. However, that was quickly squashed by the CCP, and then it was Trump who claimed to have seen evidence of this. That set the Left off, who control much of science, so the legacy media had to claim that Trump was wrong, as orange man racist. After all there was an election to be stolen. So, lies, lies, lies, which is the Left.
“Former New York Times science editor Nicholas Wade slammed the mainstream media for its early attempts to amplify Chinese propaganda by dismissing the lab leak origin of COVID as a “conspiracy theory.”
After a U.S. intelligence report confirmed that three researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology became so sick in November 2019 that they required hospital treatment, it’s become untenable for the media to continue to claim the whole issue is baseless.
According to Wade, the U.S. media was complicit in “a sustained Chinese propaganda effort” because of its failure to “take off its political glasses” and look at the cold hard facts.
“But, you know, more than that, it was just the blindness, if I could put it that way, of our media — we’re too polarized to see scientific issues for their own sake without putting a political gloss on them,” Wade added. “We don’t know for sure: The origin of the virus is just we’ve got these two possible scenarios. But if you look at all the evidence and ask yourself, well, which scenario explains all these facts better on present evidence, it seems, to me at least, that the lab-escape hypothesis explains it a lot better.”
Wade also told host Mark Levin that the media “didn’t do the work that was necessary” due to the complicated nature of the theory.
“Let’s not mince words Wade, the Media opposed the lab leak theory because President Trump promoted it, and the CCP has its tentacles deeply embedded in American propagandists who breathlessly peddle their talking points,” commented Zero Hedge.
With numerous prominent voices and official entities now being forced to backtrack and acknowledge that the lab leak origin is a real possibility, media outlets and fact checkers are scrambling to reverse previous statements on the issue.
As we highlighted earlier, Washington Post journalist Glenn Kessler slammed Senator Ted Cruz last year for accusing U.S. news outlets of amplifying Chinese propaganda by dismissing the lab leak theory.
Now Kessler is facing ridicule after he reported that the lab leak origin is “credible.”
Last week, Politifact was also forced to pull a ‘fact check’ that claimed it had “debunked” the lab leak origin theory of COVID-19.
If proven true that news outlets and fact checkers helped facilitate one of the biggest cover-ups in history, how can they ever be trusted again to wield the kind of power over narrative that results in mass social media censorship of such information?”
Of course, China’s man Beijing Biden will not have a corona of this:
“White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki declared Monday that evidence pointing to a Chinese lab leak causing the coronavirus pandemic does not constitute “enough data and information to jump to a conclusion,” and indicated that the US will not conduct its own investigation.
When Psaki was asked by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy if the White House will throw its weight behind a US led investigation into the origin of the outbreak, she responded “I think you’re misunderstanding how this process actually works.”
“With 589,920 dead Americans at what point does President Biden say we don’t want to wait for the WHO effort, we don’t know what they’re doing, this needs to be an American-led effort to get to the bottom of what happened?” Doocy had asked.
“We need access to the underlying data and information in order to have that investigation,” Psaki added, indicating that it will not happen.
“What we can’t do, and what I would caution anyone doing, is leaping ahead of an actual international process,” Psaki also said, while refusing to comment on the release of a previously undisclosed intelligence report highlighting that three researchers from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology were hospitalized in November 2019 with coronavirus symptoms.
“[W]e’re hopeful that WHO can move into a more transparent, independent phase two investigation,” Psaki added, indicating that the Biden administration is still putting confidence in the global health body, despite its documented repeated failings.
“We have repeatedly called for the WHO to support an expert-driven evaluation of the pandemic’s origins that is free from interference or politicization,” Psaki continued.
“We don’t have enough information to draw a conclusion about the origins,” Psaki claimed, adding “We need data. We need an independent investigation. And that’s exactly what we’ve been calling for.”
Doocy intercede, asking “So is there any amount of casualties from COVID in this country that would make you not want to wait for an international effort?”
Psaki responded “I think the family members of the loved ones whose lives have been lost and deserve accurate information, data, not the jumping to a conclusion without having the information necessary to conclude what the origins are.”
The bigger issue is the way political correctness controls science, which arises due to the fact that scientists are easily and cheaply bought, and controlled by research funding.
