US Gun Banning Accelerates By John Steele

More bad news for US gun advocates, as the federal courts show their illiteracy about firearms.

“Maryland’s ban on 45 kinds of assault weapons and its 10-round limit on gun magazines were upheld Tuesday by a federal appeals court in a decision that met with a strongly worded dissent. In a 10-4 ruling, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, said the guns banned under Maryland’s law aren’t protected by the Second Amendment. “Put simply, we have no power to extend Second Amendment protections to weapons of war,” Judge Robert King wrote for the court, adding that the Supreme Court’s decision in District of Columbia v. Heller explicitly excluded such coverage. Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh, who led the push for the law in 2013 as a state senator, said it’s “unthinkable that these weapons of war, weapons that caused the carnage in Newtown and in other communities across the country, would be protected by the Second Amendment.”

Note the emotional, prejudicial language “weapons of war.” How materially does an AR 15 semi-auto rifle differ from a sporting rifle such as the Ruger Mini-14? Rates of fire are about the same. The AR 15 is probably more accurate out of the box, but there are no real differences. There are major differences between the civilian AR 15 and the American service rifle, a real “weapon of war,” the M4 and M16A2 assault rifle, which differ from the AR 15 by being “select fire,” enabling more than one shot to be fired with one trigger pull. By definition, that is a true assault weapon.

The gun banning courts do not care about such fine distinctions, and neither do gun banners. All of the past US shootings could have been done with semi auto sporting rifles, so, the underlying goal here is to put up the thin edge of the wedge, and knock out the AR 15 style guns, which have a superficial cosmetic like the M16A2, then work the way down the list, getting rid of all guns. This will be attempted when Trump falls in 2020 or if he is made into a peach, before. The NRA will fight this, God bless them, but the declining white population will mean that gun elimination, legally is inevitable without strong immigration control and resistance to demographic displacement.

Nevertheless, I know from spending most of my internet time on US gun sites, that unlike in Australia where there was registration, most US gun owners are not going to hand in their guns. They will safely cache them underground over the vast US terrain for the coming rainy day where tyrannical authorities will not find them because of the expense of a search with advanced tech. They are saying this. Just have a read of even a mild Christian pro-gun sites like the one below, to see the real difference between Americans and Australians. Here is a letter to them by an Australia shooter, warning them (it is not me):

I also get an email alert from Quora.com, which is a question and answer site. I note that every anti-gun comment gets a rigorous refutation by gun owners. The owners are identified as all sorts of people, most professionals, usually in IT and STEM, but never liberal arts types. America is starkly divided and this is a good indication of impending civil war, because there is a growing anger there over the divisions that will not come to exist in Australia until things get much worse. It helps in having a civil war to have had one before too.
March for Science? They’re Joking, Right?
By Brian Simpson

Incredible, isn’t it, the inconsistencies in the Left? With Trump illegally bombing Syria, supported by the media and the establishment, one would have thought that the anti-war Left would be screaming in rage. But, no, nothing much at all. Yet there are still marches to support climate change “action”  and global warming “science” by the Left and LGBT activists, although it is not clear why specifically global warming is a gender issue; doesn’t it affect everybody?

Elsewhere a protestor against global warming burnt himself to death:

He was aware of the paradox that this suicide protest increased the carbon footprint, but he still wanted to draw attention to the destruction caused by fossil fuels. And, in a note he left at the scene, he apologised for “the mess.” I know that some people may think that this incident is a joke, and no doubt there will be evil folk on the net exploiting this story for devilish satirical purposes, but for me it is a tragedy, that someone would die for no real reason at all., repeat, no reason at all.
