The Highwayman By John Steele
While most modern music is degenerate, country and western remains somewhat pure. Here are two versions of the classic “The Highwayman,” the first by the greats of country music singing together, and the second by Glenn Campbell’s daughter. And, what a tough dude this eternal Highwayman is, surviving hanging, being buried in concrete … that is the spirit of resistance “ I guess I will always be around.” Probably about the Faustian spirit of our race. And, I hope that it is true in these dark times. Darkness indeed.
