A trainee Church of England priest at Oxford University, Shahriar Ashrafkhorasani (33 years) who is near completing his Applied Theology Masters at Oxford University, has accused the University of discrimination and bias, saying that he was told he could not ask a lecturer a critical questions about Islam. The student has filed a formal complaint to the university’s proctors’ office. He claims the lecturer pointed at him in a seminar and said: “Everybody can ask a question except you.”
Seems pretty discriminatory to me.
What is novel about this case of intellectual suppression is that the student is himself of a Muslim background, so the usual race card could not be played. Nevertheless, no criticism is tolerated, not even a question.

However, the fate of free thinkers is seen in the recent incident where, Professor Allison Stanger suffered a neck injury at Middlebury College, after she escorted Charles Murray, co-author of The Bell Curve, off the Vermont campus. They were attacked by a frenzied mob of student protesters, who yanked at her hair, injuring her neck.
