No Need to Defund Police, Just Keep Up the Anarcho-Tyrannical Decay! By Chris Knight (Florida)

There goes the Minneapolis police department; whatever the antifa terrorists want, they get:

“The Minneapolis city council has pledged to disband the city’s police department and replace it with a new system of public safety, a historic move that comes as calls to defund law enforcement are sweeping the US.
Speaking at a community rally on Sunday, a veto-proof majority of councilmembers declared their intent to “dismantle” and “abolish” the embattled police agency responsible for George Floyd’s death – and build an alternative model of community-led safety. The decision is a direct response to the massive protests that have taken over American cities in the last two weeks, and is a major victory for abolitionist activists who have long fought to disband police and prisons. “In Minneapolis and in cities across the US, it is clear that our system of policing is not keeping our communities safe,” said Lisa Bender, the Minneapolis city council president, at the event. “Our efforts at incremental reform have failed, period. Our commitment is to do what’s necessary to keep every single member of our community safe and to tell the truth: that the Minneapolis police are not doing that. Our commitment is to end policing as we know it and to recreate systems of public safety that actually keep us safe.” Nine councilmembers announced their support and represent a supermajority on the twelve-person council, meaning the mayor, who earlier this weekend opposed disbanding the department, cannot override them. The remaining three councilmembers are broadly supportive of the effort as well, but weren’t ready to sign on, activists said. While the mayor has oversight over the police, the city council has authority over the budget and policy, and could work to dismantle the department through cuts and ordinances. The formal effort to abolish a major-city police department in America and replace it with a different model of safety would have been unthinkable even weeks ago and is a testament to the impact of the protests that began with Floyd’s death on 25 May.”

And what does “defunding” really mean? The kindly Leftists explain:
  https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/05/defunding-the-police-us-what-does-it-mean#maincontent

“What does it mean to ‘defund the police’? For years, community groups have advocated for defunding law enforcement – taking money away from police and prisons – and reinvesting those funds in services. The basic principle is that government budgets and “public safety” spending should prioritize housing, employment, community health, education and other vital programs, instead of police officers. Advocates argue that defunding is the best way forward since attempts to reform police practices over the last five years have failed, as evidenced by the brutal killing of George Floyd. Groups have a range of demands, with some seeking modest reductions and others viewing full defunding as a step toward abolishing contemporary police services. How much does America currently spend on police? In the past four decades, the cost of policing in the US has tripled and is now $115bn, according to a recent analysis. That steady increase comes as crime has been consistently declining. In most cities, spending on police is significantly greater than spending on services and other departments ($1.8bn on police in Los Angeles, for example, which is more than half the city’s general fund). The Covid-19 economic crisis has led cities and states to make drastic budget cuts to education, youth programs, arts and culture, parks, libraries, housing services and more. But police budgets have grown or gone largely untouched – until pressure from protests this week. How are lawmakers addressing the calls to defund? Almost overnight and in direct response to protests, some mayors and other elected leaders have reversed their position on police funding. The mayor of LA said he would look to cut as much as $150m from the police, just two days after he pushed forward a city budget that was increasing it by 7%. A New York councilman has called for a $1bn divestment from the NYPD. In Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, San Francisco and other cities, local policymakers have expressed support for some form of defunding or opposing police budget increases. Most radically, in Minneapolis, councilmembers have discussed potentially disbanding the embattled police department altogether. Colleges, public school systems, museums and other institutions are also divesting from police.”

Ok, the money that would have been spent saving law-abiding people from savage criminals of all colours, genders and shapes, will be eaten up by all sorts of social programs, which since the 1960s have been seen to do not much at all, just make white liberals feel good, and have their hearts bleed a little more. It is much more important to supply jobs by getting the economy back upon nationalist lines, than engaging in more of these useless politically correct feel good programs. Jobs are the answer, and that is really a federal issue. Apart from this act of anarcho-tyrannical insanity, police are resigning in droves anyway:
  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/06/07/kerik-600-nypd-officers-resigning/

“Former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik says more than 300 New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers have been injured in the weeks-long riots and nearly 600 are considering leaving their posts. During an interview on Fox News’s Justice with Judge Jeanine, Kerik said hundreds of NYPD officers have been injured during riots in which rioters, arsonists, and looters ravaged neighborhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn. In addition, Kerik said the civil unrest may be leading to hundreds of NYPD officers leaving their jobs as Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) has now vowed to cut funding and reduce the department’s power. “Well, you’ve had over 300 — I think about 320 — that have been injured, I think some in the hospital,” Kerik said. “But there were over 300 injuries.” “And the thing that scares me … I’m hearing close to 600 cops have either put in their papers or they’re talking to the [NYPD] about resigning or retiring,” Kerik continued. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) and de Blasio have consistently sided with suspects in criminal cases over the NYPD in recent years. The state’s bail reform law has ensured that rioters in the last week are immediately freed from jail after their arrests, and Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance has said he will not prosecute “low-level” rioters. Today, there are about 36,000 NYPD officers who help keep law and order for about 8.4 million New Yorkers in the largest city in the United States.”

Really, every American who fears the inevitable consequences of this anarcho-tyranny needs to stockpile within the bounds of the law, while it still exists, guns, ammo, more guns, more ammo. Forget holidays and all those luxury items, like new cars and home renovations, for all that may get burnt or blown up anyway, if the new urban home-grown terrorists really are serious in their proclamations of war (see below). It is over. The era in America now is survival. And, for the rest of the West, what you see here will becoming your way soon. We are the leading edge of the tsunami of destruction of Western civilisation, the fall of modern Rome by the barbarians of today:

“Eight out of 10 voters believe that things are out of control in the United States, with majorities still concerned about the spread of the coronavirus, pessimistic about the economy returning to normal before next year and down on President Donald Trump’s ability to unite the nation. Those are the major findings of a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll that was conducted May 28 to June 2, during the aftermath of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis, as the U.S. death toll from the coronavirus surpassed 100,000 and after millions have lost their jobs. But the survey was conducted before Friday’s surprising jobs report, which found the unemployment rate declining to 13.3 percent and the economy adding 2.5 million jobs in May. “Out of control — that’s America in 2020,” said Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates, who helped conduct this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff and his GOP colleagues at Public Opinion Strategies. “[It’s] one of the few things Americans can agree upon, and the one finding that we can definitively state given the tumult and torment of the past 12 days,” Horwitt added. Despite the turmoil and instability, the NBC News/WSJ poll also shows that attitudes about Trump and the 2020 election remain locked in place, with the president’s job rating stuck in the mid-40s and with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden maintaining his national lead over Trump. McInturff, the GOP pollster, says it’s striking that Trump’s job rating and ballot position haven’t changed given the extraordinary events over the last 90 days. “Those are remarkable findings that speak to the power of our partisan silos,” he said. According to the poll, 80 percent of registered voters say they feel that things are generally out of control in the country, versus 15 percent who believe that things are under control. That includes 92 percent of Democrats, 78 percent of independents and even 66 percent of Republicans who think things are out of control.”

It is out of control, and has been for some time, like a car with no brakes going down a steep mountain. Now, it is accelerating, as the slope gets ever steeper.
