How Weak Does the US Get? No China Covid Punishment By Brian Simpson

It seems that even if China did unleash the Wuhan flu, there will be no repercussions, because it is business as usual. That is what will kill the West.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken suggested that the United States won’t take any punitive action against China for its role in unleashing COVID-19 pandemic upon the world.

Yes, really.

When asked on CNN’s “State of the Union” whether China should receive any punishment for unleashing the coronavirus and trying to cover it up, Blinken signaled that punitive action is not on the table.

“We do need to have both accountability for the past, but I think our focus needs to be on building a stronger system for the future,” Blinken told anchor Dana Bash on Sunday.

“The issue for us is to make sure that we do everything possible to prevent another pandemic, even as we’re working through this one. Or at the very least, to make sure we can mitigate in much more effective ways any damage done if something happens in the future.”

Blinken then launched into platitudes about the World Health Organization (WHO) and transparency, without noting that WHO has effectively become a vassal for the Chinese Communist Party.

“And a big part of that is making sure we have a system in place, including with the World Health Organization, that features transparency, that features information-sharing, that features access for international experts at the start of something like this,” he said.

“So I think what we need to be focused on is making sure we’re protecting ourselves and protecting the world going forward, and that’s going to require a lot of reform and it’s going to require China to do things that it hasn’t done in the past,” Blinked said.

Blinken’s neutered remarks come just days after former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield claimed that COVID-19 originated from a lab in Wuhan, China, not from a wet market as the mainstream media had been reporting for a year.

“I’m of the point of view that I still think the most likely etiology of this pathology in Wuhan was from a laboratory. Escaped. Other people don’t believe that. That’s fine. Science will eventually figure it out,” Redfield told CNN.

Blinken mentioned putting a “system in place” and enacting “a lot of reform” to prevent another global outbreak, but how can China be expected not to repeat their corrupt actions without being punished the first time?

Blinken has essentially signaled that China can do whatever it wants with impunity.”

The issue now becomes, as Gordon change has noted, what other plagues are going to be released by China:
