You have to admire a guy who lifts heavy and walks the walk, refusing to have his gym business destroyed. Now the owner of the defiant Atilis gym in New Jersey is countering the Krispy Kreme donut offer for Covid-19 vaccine by offering to waive the gym’s monthly membership for those refusing the Covid vaccine shot! Talk about men of steel. Like me, John Steele!

“A gym in New Jersey is choosing a side in the vaccine debate by offering free memberships to people who refuse to take the Covid-19 vaccination.

On Tuesday, the owner of the embattled Atilis Gym in Bellmawr announced he would waive his business’s $24 per month membership fee for the unvaccinated in response to a somewhat similar offer from Krispy Kreme.

Earlier this week, donut chain Krispy Kreme announced a promo beginning Monday which would give one free doughnut per day through the end of 2021 to “anyone who shows their COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card.”

(In the offer’s fine print, Krispy Kreme also offers a free donut and coffee for people who “have made the personal decision to not receive the COVID vaccine” on Mondays.) 

Atilis Gym made headlines throughout 2020 for refusing to shutter their business amid statewide lockdown orders, even after the state issued over 60 citations and assessed over $1.2 million in fines.”
