Good  old Elon Musk, a corporate capitalist, who is seeing bad times, and is under attack, but is fighting back by naming those who are trying to destroy him. And, the media is upset with him. Consider this extract from The Sydney Morning Herald:

“He is prone to unhinged Twitter eruptions. He can’t handle criticism. He scolds the news media for its purported dishonesty and threatens to create a Soviet-like apparatus to keep tabs on it. He suckers people to fork over cash in exchange for promises he hasn’t kept. He’s a billionaire whose business flirts with bankruptcy. He’s sold himself as an establishment-crushing iconoclast when he’s really little more than an unusually accomplished BS artist. His legions of devotees are fanatics and, let’s face it, a bit stupid. I speak of Tesla chief executive Elon Musk, the Donald Trump of Silicon Valley.”

I take it that he doe not like Musk calling his elk, sorry, ilk,  out. I could give many other examples, but this one captures the essence of the media elites’ objection to Musk’s attacks. He is equated with Trump, who also sees the mainstream media as lacking in objectivity. For alternative journalists, this is the starting point of our work. Even if reporting was accurate, which is seldom is, pushing a political agenda or slant, the MS media will simply not report on stories which are inconvenient to its party line. We see this with the gun control debate where there is little or not reporting on stories where the use of guns saved lives. As well, no negative impacts of immigration are discussed. If a token article is presented, under duress, the editor counters it with a multitude of positive immigration articles.

Much like the universities, we need to begin from the premise that the mainstream media, if not rotten to the core, is at least inadequate, biased, and pushes false news. That is why we are here, and is one service provided by On Target, and the blog. You can be brought up to date without spending four hours each day on the web. We burn out our eyes for you, as a community service, some of us not even sleeping to get out all the juicy news.
