Now We Know Who are Stealing All the Cows! By Brian Simpson

I like all of these UFO stories, being a sci fi fan. Little green men from Mars, and exotic space women from Venus … who knows?
  https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/wxe54z/the-navy-has-secret-classified-video-of-an-infamous-ufo-incident

“The Pentagon has Top Secret-classified briefings and a Secret-classified video about an infamous UFO incident, the U.S. Navy said in response to a public records request. The files concern the 2004 encounter between the USS Nimitz and a with strange unknown aerial objects. In 2017 and 2018, three videos of bizarre aircraft taken by Navy pilots from their fighter planes made national news. In December 2017, The New York Times ran a story about Navy pilots who intercepted a strange object off the coast of San Diego on November 14th, 2004, and managed to shoot video of the object with their F-18’s gun camera. In September of 2019, Motherboard reported that the Navy confirmed the videos contained footage of “unknown aerial phenomena.” In response to a Freedom of Information Act request sent by researcher Christian Lambright seeking more information on the incident, the Navy said it had “discovered certain briefing slides that are classified TOP SECRET. A review of these materials indicates that are currently and appropriate Marked and Classified TOP SECRET under Executive Order 13526, and the Original Classification Authority has determined that the release of these materials would cause exceptionally grave damage to the National Security of the United States.”

The Politics of Fire By James Reed

The climate change fanatics have been up and at it, not only about the terrible bushfires, but the on-going 100-year floods along the east coast, which they call extreme weather events, even though all of this has happened before. And, as this great article referenced below indicates, as usual incompetence and obfuscation have more to do with the bushfires that any grand climate change:
  https://quadrant.org.au/opinion/doomed-planet/2020/01/an-inferno-of-incompetence-and-obfuscation/

“I reject the ‘blame it on climate change” position because it has two killer flaws: firstly, it ignores fuels, which are the main contributor to uncontrollable fires during a drought; secondly, it provides no practical solutions to the immediate problem. Both of these factors render the climate change argument utterly unsustainable, indeed ridiculous. It is very obvious who the people are who should be held accountable for the current mess. At the top of the list are the premiers and ministers responsible for land management, such as it is, and bushfire policy, and the public servants in their departments with jurisdiction over forests and national parks. State governments in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria have palpably failed to do the most important job they were elected to do: protect the lives and livelihoods of their citizens and the health of their environment. And their public servants have failed to do the job they are being paid to do: serve the public. Under the Australian Constitution land management, and therefore bushfire management, is the responsibility of the states. It is state governments which decide how crown land will be managed, and how the protection of communities and their assets from bushfire damage will be organised.

Peter, Go Ahead and Make My Day! By James Reed

What’s wrong with me? Am I getting soft in my old age? Why didn’t I think about recommending cancelling the welfare of climate protesters, rather than indulge in vain fantasies about medieval torture and the flames of damnation? Simply starving to death is a tried and proven way of ending dissent, for, after all, this is essentially what the Left are, and will, do to us deplorables:
  https://www.abc.net.au/triplej/programs/hack/peter-dutton-suggests-cancelling-welfare-of-climate-protesters/11572370

“Peter Dutton has proposed scrapping the welfare payments of climate change activists who break the law. Speaking to Ray Hadley on 2GB radio this morning, the Home Affairs Minister called on the public to actively shame protesters who are "putting lives at risk". This week, 10 Extinction Rebellion protesters have been charged over two separate acts of protests that delayed traffic through Brisbane CBD. When asked whether protesters who received government benefits should have their welfare payments removed, Mr Dutton agreed. "Well I agree, Ray," he said. Mr Dutton said the public should 'name and shame' climate protesters. "People should take these names and the photos of these people and distribute them as far and wide as they can so that we shame these people. "Let their families know what you think of their behaviour." Mr Dutton also lashed out at vegan activists who raided farms in April, and the three pro-refugee protesters who briefly occupied the roof of his electorate office in 2016. "We should push back because these people are a scourge," he said.

Volcanoes Under Melbourne? By James Reed

I did not know this, but apparently there are volcanoes under Melbourne. As soon as I read this, I wondered how long for the next eruption, that blows Melbourne apart? Burke Street full of lava, anyone?

  https://theconversation.com/would-an-eruption-in-melbourne-really-match-hawaiis-volcanoes-heres-the-evidence-101675

“A volcano expert says an eruption could happen in Melbourne at any time. Australian National University professor Richard Arculus said an eruption could theoretically happen in Melbourne or Auckland, New Zealand – but there's no way of pinpointing exactly where or when. 'In terms of Melbourne and Auckland, there's every chance another volcano could blow,' he told Daily Mail Australia. 'You could see lava flowing down Bourke Street. He cited research from Monash University which pointed to a volcanic field existing in Melbourne. The research analysed an 'intra-plate basaltic volcanic field' in south-eastern Australia. Mr Arculus said a similar field exists in Auckland, a city built on and near 52 volcanoes. New eruptions can take place at spots where volcanoes have not previously existed. Mr Arculus said scientists were unable to tell when or where a new volcano would sprout. A chilling video created as part of research into the effect of volcanoes in Auckland shows the effects of an eruption on the city.’

Australians Must Drink Dust, while the Water goes to China, for Cold, Long, Refreshing Colonial Drinks By James Reed

I have been covering the vast sell-off of Australia’s water resources, done in the driest continent on Earth, stricken by long-lasting droughts. Hard to believe, but true, once a nation loses its sense of identity and is deracinated:
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7884855/Queensland-town-runs-water-Chinese-company-given-green-light-extract-water-area.html?ico=pushly-notifcation-small

“A drought-ravaged town has run out of water just weeks after a Chinese company was given the go-ahead to run a commercial water extraction facility in the region. Stanthorpe in Queensland's Southern Downs is now fully dependent on 42 truckloads of water a day brought in from a dam 60km to the north. The local dam for the town of 5,000 people has dipped to just 11 per cent of capacity, with those living in Stanthorpe limited to 80 litres of water per person a day. Southern Downs Regional Council tightened the water restrictions last month just one day after approving the development of a mining operation 40km away at the Queensland border town of Cherrabah. The 'full-time water carting' from Connolly Dam consists of 1.3 megalitres per day and mayor Tracy Dobie said the operation is the biggest of its kind by an Australian local government. 'We've now commenced full trucking of water. There's 14 trucks doing three trips a day,' she said. 'Council promised the community we would not run out of water. 'The initial stages of water carting went extremely well and without incident. We will now move to full-time water carting to provide water to the Stanthorpe Region.' Remaining local reserves will be kept back for emergency use.  Despite the water importation, the 80-litre restriction will remain in place - four times less than the average individual water consumption of 340 litres per day according to Riverina Water.”

The Greenie Myth of Renewables By James Reed

Greenies are anti-coal and oil in part because they believe that techno-industrial civilisation can kick over with renewables. This is their ultimate faith, since only a minority of environmentalists accept that industrial civilisation should be abandoned. However, renewables cannot power the modern world, as the utter failure of renewables as a replacement energy source in Germany shows:
  https://www.technocracy.news/renewables-were-never-meant-to-power-modern-civilization/
  https://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/german-failure-on-the-road-to-a-renewable-future-a-1266586.html

“The so-called Energiewende, the shift away from nuclear in favor of renewables, the greatest political project undertaken here since Germany's reunification, is facing failure. In the eight years since Fukushima, none of Germany's leaders in Berlin have fully thrown themselves into the project, not least the chancellor. Lawmakers have introduced laws, decrees and guidelines, but there is nobody to coordinate the Energiewende, much less speed it up. And all of them are terrified of resistance from the voters, whenever a wind turbine needs to be erected or a new high-voltage transmission line needs to be laid out. Analysts from McKinsey have been following the Energiewende since 2012, and their latest report is damning. Germany, it says, "is far from meeting the targets it set for itself." Germany's Federal Court of Auditors is even more forthright about the failures. The shift to renewables, the federal auditors say, has cost at least 160 billion euros in the last five years. Meanwhile, the expenditures "are in extreme disproportion to the results," Federal Court of Auditors President Kay Scheller said last fall, although his assessment went largely unheard in the political arena. Scheller is even concerned that voters could soon lose all faith in the government because of this massive failure.

The New Climate Change Religion By James Reed

Don’t despair Peter West, and our other Catholic readers, there are still some high-ranking Catholics who are standing their grounds against the modern madness, attacking the new age religion of climate change:

  https://dzienniklodzki.pl/abp-marek-jedraszewski-ostrzega-przed-ekologizmem-i-greta-thunberg/ar/c1-14681911

“The controversial archbishop Marek Jedraszewski from Krakow again raised controversy. This time he indignated the environmentalists with the interview he gave for Republika. He stated that environmentalism was a "very dangerous" phenomenon, and criticized Greta Thunberg's listen. "This activist becomes an oracle for all political and social forces. This is contrary to everything that is recorded in the Bible, beginning with the Book of Genesis, which explicitly mentions the miracle of God's creation of the world, "said Republika on Christmas Eve on Television. He also emphasized that according to the Bible, man was supposed to make his land a subject and he is someone who rules over the earth. The contradiction of the opinion of the former metropolitan of Lodz and fascinated by ecology of Pope Francis was noted by, among others priest Wojciech Leman-ski from Lódz "The Pope talks about ecological sin, and the archbishop talks about the heresy of ecologicalism. The Pope meets Greta Thunberg, and the Archbishop mocks Greta, "wrote Fr Facebook Lemanski. One of the boats didn't last. She wrote a private letter asking for papal intervention and sent it as a registered letter to the Vatican. Now waiting for an answer. Archbishop. Marek Jedraszewski managed the Lódz church in 2012-2016. Even then he became famous for his controversial statements. During a meeting with young people in Pabianice, he warned that in 2050 white people will be shown in Europe in reserves. However, it was only after moving to Krakow that he began to regularly attract media attention. On August 1, during the homily on the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising, he warned of "rainbow plague" or LGBT ideology.”

The Foul Air of Canberra By James Reed

The air of Canberra is foul; no, that is a vast understatement, corrected by quantitative data. The air of Canberra, in parts, is 20 times above the hazardous level.
  https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/6562383/air-quality-in-parts-of-canberra-20-times-above-hazardous-level/

“By midday on Wednesday, the air quality in Canberra's south reached a level more than 20 times above hazardous and the recorded index rating was higher than the world's most polluted cities. The dense smoke haze engulfed Canberra on Tuesday night from fires burning at the South Coast. Acting chief health officer Dr Paul Dugdale said on New Year's Day the capital experienced the worst air quality conditions since ratings began to be measured 15 years ago. Dr Dugdale said there were a dozen presentations to Canberra Hospital in the 24 hours to noon on Wednesday for smoke-related conditions. "It's a particularly difficult time for people with heart and lung conditions who are sensitive to smoke, our message to them is to follow your doctor's advice, take your medications and if you have got an asthma action plan, put that into effect," he said. All Canberrans were advised to avoid physical activity during the heavy periods of smoke. Emergency services fielded more than 150 calls to triple zero about the smoke and it set off more than 250 automatic smoke alarms across Canberra. ACT fire and rescue chief officer Mark Brown said crews responded to alarms at a range of premises including government buildings and hospitals. "Fire and rescue had to respond methodically to those buildings and investigate and reset all those alarms," he said. "It took a lot of resources and we actually didn't even finish the task until early this morning."”

Are the Elites Trying to Burn Us Down? By James Reed

Part from the climate change angle, which we of the Dissent Right reject, is there something dark and conspiratorial behind the bushfires? Here fellow Dissent Right Aussie Richard Wolstencroft puts the case that the real cause of the fires is that of the global elites, wanting to punish Australia for not going with the climate change agenda. Various hypotheses are advanced, including weather control. Could the fire bugs be “agents,” or mind controlled? Remember, the case of Australia is being used internationally to push the climate change agenda, even though the fires were in the main lit by arsonists.

I really don’t know, even though I am the most conspiratorial minded person around. I have not yet seen episode 20 of the report where Richard ties it all together. So, I will wait until then to make up my mind, unless the bushfires burn out inner city Melbourne, which will make me highly suspicious.

Eat Your Red meat – Or Maybe be Malnourished! By Mrs Vera West

As always, no nutritional advice given, only journalistic reporting of news. And on the anti-vegan front, the champions of red meat are fighting back, big time, with nutritionists saying that given the radical drop in nutritional value of our vegetables, red meat may be necessary, thus adding a new dimension to the debate:
  https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/red-meat-vital-part-of-diets-claims-expert/

“A dip in nutrition levels in plants and fish have made it more important than ever to eat red meat for health reasons, a professor of cardiovascular pharmacology has claimed. As more people turn to a meat-free died, and with the increasing popularity of a vegan lifestyle, advocates of red meat will use the UK's biggest farming conference to begin a fightback against veganism. Professor Alice Stanton, who teaches cardiovascular pharmacology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, will tell the Oxford Farming Conference key nutrients in some fruits, vegetables and grains have dipped by up to 50% over 50 years. The professor is expected to say this is a result of farmers trying to meet demands for cheap foods. “For plant-based foods, there’s been drops in vitamins and key electrolytes by up to 50% over the past 50 years because of the genetic selection for large volume and uniformity of shape and appearance, so the things look good on the shelves. There hasn’t been selection for nutrient content,” she told the Observer newspaper. “Absolutely, we need to address greenhouse gas emissions. But I’m concerned about the dramatic reduction in red meat consumption being regarded as the solution,” she said. Eating red meat in moderation – “twice to four times a week” – was “protective against heart attacks, strokes and cancer”, while nutrients in red meat were vital for children in the first three years of life, she added. “I’m not against vegetarianism or veganism,” Stanton said. “It is possible to have a balanced diet with vegetarianism. It’s a little bit more challenging but still possible with veganism. However, it requires a lot of knowledge and effort, which doesn’t happen in the majority of the population. People don’t have time to invest in getting a really balanced diet through a range of plant-based foods.” The growth of alternative diets saw a drop of around £185 million in sales of red meat in 2019 with figures showing hundreds of thousands of people in the UK gave up meat for Veganuary. According to polls quoted by the Vegan Society, the number of vegans in Britain has quadrupled since 2014, increasing from 150,000 to 600,000.”

Ancient News By Brian Simpson

As a counter to the school of thought that holds that Europe is merely a Johnny-come-lately in the cultural stakes, archaeologists have uncovered 3,500-year-old royal tombs in Greece:
  https://time.com/5751800/american-archaeologists-greece-mycenaean-tombs/

“American archaeologists have discovered two monumental royal tombs dating from about 3,500 years ago near a major Mycenaean-era palace in Greece’s southern Peloponnese region, the Greek culture ministry said Tuesday. A ministry statement said the dome-shaped roofs of both tombs near the Bronze Age palace of Pylos collapsed during antiquity, and the chambers became filled with so much earth and rubble that grave robbers couldn’t get in to plunder them. Nevertheless, the tombs were disturbed during the period of their use over several generations — unlike another Mycenaean grave found nearby in 2015 that yielded a stunning hoard of gold and silver treasure, jewelry and bronze arms buried with a man presumed to have been an early ruler of Pylos. Recovered grave goods from the two tombs included a golden seal ring and a golden amulet of an ancient Egyptian goddess, highlighting Bronze Age trade and cultural links. The ministry said the discovery was particularly important as it shed light on the early phases of Greece’s Mycenaean civilization. The Mycenaean era, between roughly 1650-1100 B.C. provided the material for many of the myths and legends of ancient Greece including that of the Trojan War. The larger of the two tombs had a diameter of 12 meters (36 feet) at floor level and its stone walls survived to a height of 4.5 meters (15 feet) — less than half its original height. The other was about two-thirds of that size and its walls now stand two meters high. Both belong to the tholos type of tomb, massive domed underground constructions reserved for Mycenaean royalty that could reach roughly 15 meters (45 feet) in height.”

Ron Owens Thoughts For The Week

Of course, over the last months we have all been involved, (in one way, or another) in the drought and subsequent fires. Some have lost everything, homes, relatives, farms, stock, friends, others have suffered from the smoke, hero’s have fought the fires, whilst other brave people have raised money, or traveled across our continent to deliver food and supplies.

Farmers and related business if not critically damaged have suffered and we still have another few months of hot weather to look forward too. Its all very sad, but as we know it’s Australia, this has all happened before, little of the money donations will get to those who deserve it and nothing that the government promises to help with will be forth coming. Even the insurance companies have historically been very slow to pay out in fire disasters such as in the Marysville disaster.

Climate change votes By L.Ralph Barraclough

So we now have a pending federal election with two parties campaigning on the dire consequences of climate change. As a young person at school in the mid sixties I was most concerned to learn that the world was running out of copper. There was widespread concern and debate as to how we could cope substituting aluminium. When I left school, I got a job in the mining industry and soon found that not only was there not going to be a copper shortage, but the mines that would provide the copper were being developed when this hysteria was being spread. It assured a good market price for copper. In the mid seventies we were bombarded with dire predictions that the world oil supplies were nearly exhausted. So scarce was bitumen going to be we would be building concrete highways. I had friends in this industry and collected enough information to see easily that this was a total beat-up, as is clearly evident now. Producers were simply creating hysteria to justify higher prices.

Such a beat-up is the climate change argument, that they have to use naturally sinking volcanic islands to support the claims of rising sea levels. Since around the time of Charles Darwin, Geologists have known the Earths crust is not strong enough to hold up the volcanic cones rising from the sea floor. These old Volcanoes naturally sink as they have been doing for millions of years. Some volcanic islands have sunk to 6,000 feet below the sea surface with remnant coral reefs that could have only grown at or near the surface. The following is a quote from a Geology text book: "Next came the main islands all with drowned river valleys e.g. Pearl Harbour, with up to 1,200 feet of submergence." (Principals of physical geology, Arthur Holmes).

Vegan Nightmare: The Pain of Plants! By Brian Simpson

I often wondered how vegans would respond if there was evidence of the consciousness, in a fashion, of plants. I mean to say, we should nor eat meat because animals have minds, but what if plants had a kind of mind as well?
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-7773333/Plants-emit-ultrasonic-scream-stems-cut-water-short-supply.html

“A team of scientists at Tel Aviv University have discovered that some plants emit a high frequency distress sound when they undergo environmental stress. The researchers tested tomato plants and tobacco plants by depriving them of water and by cutting their stems and then recording their response with a microphone placed ten centimeters away. In both cases, they found the plants began to emit ultrasonic sounds between 20 and 100 kilohertz, which they believed could convey their distress to other plants and organisms in the immediate vicinity. When a tomato plant’s stem was cut, the researchers found it emitted 25 ultrasonic distress sounds over the course of an hour, according to Live Science.”

The Age of the European Race; The Extinction of Genetic Diversity By Brian Simpson

Here is one reason why the great replacement of the European peoples should be resisted: they have made an irreplaceable contribution to human history, and are not a flash in the pan as some conservative sites which are supposed to defend the white ethno-racial group think, but are an ancient contribution to the human species:
  https://phys.org/news/2019-07-oldest-africa-reset-human-migration.html

“A 210,000-year-old skull has been identified as the earliest modern human remains found outside Africa, putting the clock back on mankind's arrival in Europe by more than 150,000 years, researchers said Wednesday.
In a startling discovery that changes our understanding of how modern man populated Eurasia, the findings support the idea that Homo sapiens made several, sometimes unsuccessful migrations from Africa over tens of thousands of years. Southeast Europe has long been considered a major transport corridor for modern humans from Africa. But until now the earliest evidence of Homo sapiens on the continent dated back only around 50,000 years. There has however been a number of discoveries indicating the ancient presence of Neanderthals—an early human cousin—across the continent. Two fossilised but badly damaged skulls unearthed in a Greek cave in the 1970s were identified as Neanderthal at the time. In findings presented in the journal Nature, an international team of researchers used state-of-the art computer modelling and uranium dating to re-examine the two skulls. One of them, named Apidima 2 after the cave in which the pair were found, proved to be 170,000 years old and did indeed belong to a Neanderthal. But, to the shock of scientists, the skull named Apidima 1 pre-dated Apidima 2 by as much as 40,000 years, and was determined to be that of a Homo sapiens. That makes the skull by far the oldest modern human remains ever discovered on the continent, and older than any known Homo sapiens specimen outside of Africa. "It shows that the early dispersal of Homo sapiens out of Africa not only occurred earlier, before 200,000 years ago, but also reached further geographically, all the way to Europe," Katerina Harvati, a palaeoanthropologist at the Eberhard Karls University of Tuebingen, Germany, told AFP.”

Australia’s Environmental Arsonists By James Reed

While the media here in Australia are going into overdrive about the bushfires being caused by climate change, we need to turn to overseas sources to get some sanity, and uncommon sense. Here is James Delingpole at Breitbart.com, making the sensible argument that it was, and still is, the environmental policies of the largely Leftist environmentalist system and Greens, that allowed the massive build-up of highly flammable dried vegetation:
  https://www.naturalnews.com/2020-01-05-environmentalists-arsonists-australia-policies-forest.html
  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/01/02/greens-made-australia-bush-fires-worse/

“As Paul Homewood pointed out last month, there has been no significant long-term decrease in rainfall or increase in temperatures in the affected regions. Yes, it has been dry in New South Wales (where most of the worst fires are), but there have been several years, especially pre-1960, when it was drier. The same applies to temperature. Yes, this has been a hot spring in New South Wales. But there have been times when it has been much hotter — making a nonsense of all stories in the Australian media about temperatures being the hottest ever: Neither is the monthly average of 38.0C a record high. The three years from 1899 to 1901 all saw average December mean maximum temperatures well above 38.0C. Since the station moved to the airport in 1993, 38C has only been exceeded once until this year, that was in 2005, when it averaged 38.5C, still well below the December 1899 when the mean was 39.9C. So, to be clear, there is zero evidence of any change in climatic conditions that might have increased the likelihood or severity of these bush fires. This is not — repeat NOT — a man-made climate change story, and anyone who claims otherwise is either a gullible idiot or a lying charlatan. There is, nonetheless, good reason to believe that the stupidity and irresponsibility of man is at least partly to blame for this disaster — just not quite in the way that the left-liberal MSM and the green wankerati would have you believe.

Climate Wars: The UN Iron Fist and Climate Change Agenda By James Reed

If it is linked to the UN, beware, because there will be some globalist agenda on the horizon, something bad, something, evil. Take climate change. Isn’t a matter of just knowing the science and seeing the truth, since all of those bloody scientists back it, don’t they? Don’t they? Well, why then is the idea being floated now of using the UN mercenary armies to kill anyone disagreeing? How democratic is that? What have they got to hide?
  https://www.breitbart.com/environment/2019/12/03/danish-academic-u-n-might-use-military-to-enforce-climate-agenda/

“The United Nations may resort to military action against states that defy its mandates on global climate action, according to Ole Wæver, a prominent international relations professor at the University of Copenhagen. In an interview with ABC News in Australia, Professor Wæver cautions that what he sees as “climate inaction” might draw the U.N. into considering other means to ensure its goals are met, even if that leads to global armed conflict. Professor Wæver says more resistance to change could potentially threaten democracy although the U.N. would counter that the end justified the means in much the same way countries like Greece had their debt crisis solutions forced on them by European Union bureaucrats in Brussels and Strasbourg. “The United Nations Security Council could, in principle, tomorrow decide that climate change is a threat to international peace and security,” he says. “And then it’s within their competencies to decide ‘and you are doing this, you are doing this, you are doing this, this is how we deal with it’.” He believes classifying climate change as a security issue could leave the door open to more extreme policy responses.”

Toxic Leaks from Academia to Contaminate the World By Chris Knight

I think of academia, following the lead of our own resident alcoholic, James Reed, as being like a toxic waste site, where the deadly poisons eventually leak intro the wider society, destroying all in their glowing green path.
  https://www.wsj.com/articles/idea-laundering-in-academia-11574634492?mod=rsswn

“The reason you’ve heard them is that politically engaged academicians have been developing concepts like these for more than 30 years, and all that time they’ve been percolating. Only recently have they begun to emerge in mainstream culture. These academicians accomplish this by passing off their ideas as knowledge; that is, as if these terms describe facts about the world and social reality. And while some of these ideas may contain bits of truth, they aren’t scientific. By and large, they’re the musings of ideologues. How did this happen? How have those working in what’s come to be called “grievance studies” managed to extend their ideas far beyond the academy, while convincing people that their jargon adds something meaningful to public discourse? Biologist Bret Weinstein, who was run out of Evergreen State College by a leftist mob in 2017, calls the process “idea laundering.” It’s analogous to money laundering. Here’s how it works: First, various academics have strong moral impulses about something. For example, they perceive negative attitudes about obesity in society, and they want to stop people from making the obese feel bad about their condition.

The Bushfires are Not an Argument for Climate Change By James Reed

I wish that I had a dollar for every time I read or heard that the bushfires were a product of climate change. Why, I would buy enough alcohol to put myself well and truly out of this misery, perhaps permanently! Just joking. Seriously though, the bushfires are a product of lack of clearly of vegetation, and having crazy fire bugs lighting up the place.
  https://phys.org/news/2020-01-wildlife-ravaged-australia-decades-recover.html
  https://summit.news/2020/01/03/australian-police-say-arsonists-lightning-to-blame-for-bushfires-not-climate-change/

“Authorities in Australia are working on the premise that arsonists and lightning strikes are to blame for bushfires that have devastated numerous areas of the country, not “climate change” as many global warming alarmists have claimed. Since November, the fires have struck various regions of the state of New South Wales, destroying thousands of buildings and killing at least 22 people. Despite the fact that bushfires are not uncommon in Australia, the severity of the damage led numerous climate change alarmists to blame the disaster on man-made global warming. Earlier this week, Bernie Sanders blamed those who were “delaying action on climate change” for “the blood-red sky and unbreathable air in Australia because of raging forest fires.” However, according to those tasked with investigating the fires, climate change has nothing to do with it. “Police are now working on the premise arson is to blame for much of the devastation caused this bushfire season,” reports 7 News Sydney. Authorities in the country have formed Strike Force Indarra, comprising of detectives from homicide and arson units in an attempt to find the culprits. Other causes for the fires include lightning strikes and a natural weather phenomenon called Dipole, again neither of which have anything to do with man-made climate change. Many bushfires are also actually caused by environmentalist ‘green’ policies which prevent land owners from clearing their own vegetation to protect themselves. “Governments appeasing the green beast have ignored numerous state and federal bushfire inquiries over the past decade, almost all of which have recommended increasing the practice of “prescribed burning,” writes Miranda Devine. “Also known as “hazard reduction”, it is a methodical regime of burning off flammable ground cover in cooler months, in a controlled fashion, so it does not fuel the inevitable summer bushfires.”

China Drinks Big on Queensland Water By Paul Walker

The resource war, especially the battle for water is now on, and China is making sure that it does not get thirsty. As for the local Aussies on water rations, well the governments will be doing all they can to do precisely nothing, and allow China first, second and third drink, as is the law of the New World Order:

“Queensland government experts raised repeated warnings about the long-term sustainability of groundwater extraction at a southern Queensland property which has since been approved to operate as a commercial water mine. The approval for the 96m litre a year bottled water extraction operation at Cherrabah – in a severely drought-hit area where locals are on water rations and communities at imminent risk of running dry – has raised significant questions about the oversight and regulation of critical water resources in Queensland. Documents obtained by Guardian Australia show how longstanding concerns about groundwater security at Cherrabah were overridden by changes to Queensland law enacted by Campbell Newman’s government in 2013. Under the changes, the Chinese-owned company Joyful View Garden Real Estate Development Resort Pty Ltd was automatically granted a 94-year extraction permit at Cherrabah when a short-term allocation expired in 2017. Written concerns outlined in the documents obtained by Guardian Australia include the expert review of a study commissioned by Joyful View in 2009 that was the basis for its subsequent water extraction applications. The study contained repeated qualifications that its modelling could not be relied upon for a period longer than 12 months.
