     Given the cowardice and apathy of the ordinary sheep, and let’s face facts here because our survival is at stake and it is suicidal to see the world through rose-coloured liberal democratic glasses. People will need to adopt survivalist, off grid strategies. Part of these involves stockpiling physical goods that will store and last a long time. Think dries beans and lentils versus frozen meat. Have on stock enough clothes, shoes/boots, toiletries etc. to last for the longer haul. These items should be things that you would spend money on anyway. There is a large segment of the survivalist movement focussed on gold and Bitcoin and other cyber-currencies. I have not qualifications for offering financial advice. What I do know though is that it is hard to go wrong having stashed in one’s shed items that do not spoil (e.g. toilet paper, dried goods etc.), that one can use in hard times, leaving above the iceberg, one’s normal job-money, which for most of us is the pitiful amount given by Centrelink.

To The Australian          There is nothing in Mark Leibler's latest advocacy ("'It's all or nothing' on Uluru Statement", 12-13/5) to dispel legitimate fears that the Referendum Council is pushing a fundamentally separatist agenda contrary to the interests and wishes of the great majority of Australians. National unity is the bedrock of our security as a people. Despite his claims, it is not clear that the Uluru Statement is truly representative of 'the wishes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people', for membership of the groups that eventually originated it was by invitation only. Nor is it clear that any such 'people' can be or should be given any special constitutional status at this stage in history, when there has been so much marrying out. Moreover, there is already widespread public distrust in Parliament and politicians, so it is unlikely that the electorate will accept the argument that any 'voice to Parliament' will not be treated as 'a third chamber.' In any case Australians of indigenous ancestry already have adequate means of achieving dialogue with their fellow Australians.

Special celebrations for the 250th anniversary of his voyages make good sense and are welcome.      The prediction by demographer David Cole is that Britain will be a majority non-white by 2060, although there are good reasons to believe that this is optimistic and that it will happen much sooner, perhaps sooner than in Australia. As detailed in this video, “Britain Abolishes Itself,” the conservative party has recognised that if immigration continues then long before Britain’s white apocalypse, there will be a one party system, with the Labour Party, the party of migrants, gaining complete power and becoming unstoppable. To The Age          What authority in terms of law ('Aboriginal elders criticise treaty talks', 15/5) does 'Victoria's historic treaty process' really have? To most of us the prerogative of signing treaties seems to lie only with the federal government, which has full responsibility for foreign affairs. Can the Prime Minister clarify the situation for us? Looking at the photograph of a mere twenty or thirty persons, some of whom appear only part-Aboriginal, I do not see a group which I believe has the right in 2018 to make constitutional claims on my nation's government. I doubt if they would be recognized by tribal law before the British settled here; and I doubt if they normally wear that ancient style of dress in daily life.      This YouTube clip is very interesting, but the comments underneath are gut-bustingly funny. Police try to break down a door, but fail. Everything they tried (no explosives) fail. The comments speculate about what happens next; the crook inside dies of old age; or changes his ways becomes a cop and comes to help break down his own door; the door is unlocked and opens out; there is a wall behind a false door and so on. There are certainly some amusing things on YouTube, making it an escape almost as good as getting blind drunk. In fact, getting blind drunk, then surfing YouTube may be the best thing of all. Ok Vera, you can eat chocolate whilst surfing and drinking, not that you see any benefits to alcohol.

To The Australian          There is more to say about the 'symbolic order' embodied in the monarchy than Henry Ergas tells us ('Royal fairy tales help recount our blessing', 18/5). The essence of that order is its noble and assured recognition that the just conduct of earthly affairs depends on a leadership which has a heartfelt acceptance of the truth that eternity and spiritual reality are sources of indispensable guidance for both monarchs and their subjects. Thus Ergas errs in asserting that celebrations of 'the rites of passage' of the Royal Family have degenerated into 'extravagant re-enactments of fairytales.' They remain sacred ceremonies of profound spiritual insight with enormous capacity to inspire and guide the subjects of the Crown. The 'force of tradition' and respect for the wisdom of the past may have been weakened in the last century, but they have not been overcome and our monarchy is the main political bulwark sustaining their influence.
