In Praise of “Abnormal” Countries By Peter Ewer

Russia, who is bravely standing against the maelstrom of modernist madness, has been criticised for being an “abnormal country.” Yet, in an age of near total insanity, this surely a moral victory, being an inversion of foul is fair and fair is foul:
  https://www.rt.com/news/468423-pentagon-russia-normal-country/

“It’s better not to be a “more normal country” if that means being as prone to invasions and coups as the United States, top Russian ministers have said, firing back at bizarre remarks by a new Pentagon chief. It would be “great” if the West “could get Russia to behave like a more normal country,” Mark Esper, the newly appointed defense secretary, was reported to have claimed while visiting Paris this week. That remark did not go down well with Moscow, however. “If he said so, he called upon us to act as a normal country [as such] and not like the United States,” Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a press briefing in the Russian capital, where he and Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu had a face-to-face meeting with French counterparts. Otherwise, we should have been acting like the US, bombing Iraq and Libya in blatant violation of international law… We should have supported coups, violent and anti-constitutional, like the US and its closest allies did in February 2014 [in Ukraine]. What's more, if Russia followed Washington’s instructions, then “we would have spent millions on intervening in the affairs of other countries as Congress has done by authorizing $20 million for supporting democracy in Russia,” Lavrov stated. On his part, Shoigu also said that normalcy has a different meaning for Moscow then. We will probably remain [an] abnormal [country].”

Chinese-Style Face Recognition Coming Here By James Reed

Soon the government will be able to recognise your beautiful face everywhere, maybe in places where you have not even gone, such as crime scenes:
  https://www.9news.com.au/national/a-current-affair-facial-recognition-technology-australia-surveillance/ee91eacf-1c6c-4a1d-bba9-0d400984217c

“Privacy advocates have issued a warning about a new proposed government facial recognition database, saying: "This changes the nature of the world we're in." Dubbed "The Capability", the system would match images of people captured on CCTV with their driver's license and passport photos. The database could be shared with government agencies, police and anti-corruption agencies and, in some cases, private organisations. "They're going to use this database with face recognition to be able to pick people out so you'll be able to take CCTV footage and be able to automatically identify people," Professor Toby Walsh, from the University of New South Wales, told A Current Affair. "The government hasn't shown itself to be too competent at looking after our data and if bad actors are out there they could use that data for whatever purposes." Professor Walsh is an expert in artificial intelligence, and told A Current Affair the technology is similar to surveillance software used in China. The cameras are the back-bone of the country's "social credit system" which awards or deducts points depending on a citizen's behaviour. If a person's rating gets too low, they could be prevented from doing everyday activities like catching the train or flying.”

So Much for a Bill of Rights By John Steele

I recently criticised an article by leading neo-masculinity/barbarianism writer, Jack Donovan, where he argued that all one can really advocate in US post politics now is support for the US Bill of Rights. Well, so much the worse for Australia, England and other countries without one, and even having one does not mean much, as recent article expressed:
  https://www.zerohedge.com/political/bill-rights-turns-230-and-what-do-we-have-show-it-nothing-good

“It’s been 230 years since James Madison drafted the Bill of Rights - the first ten amendments to the Constitution - as a means of protecting the people against government tyranny, and what do we have to show for it?
Nothing good. In America today, the government does whatever it wants, freedom be damned. We can pretend that the Constitution, which was written to hold the government accountable, is still our governing document, but the reality of life in the American police state tells a different story. “We the people” have been terrorized, traumatized, and tricked into a semi-permanent state of compliance by a government that cares nothing for our lives or our liberties. The bogeyman’s names and faces have changed over time (terrorism, the war on drugs, illegal immigration, etc.), but the end result remains the same: in the so-called named of national security, the Constitution has been steadily chipped away at, undermined, eroded, whittled down, and generally discarded to such an extent that what we are left with today is but a shadow of the robust document adopted more than two centuries ago. Most of the damage has been inflicted upon the Bill of Rights. A recitation of the Bill of Rights—set against a backdrop of government surveillance, militarized police, SWAT team raids, asset forfeiture, eminent domain, overcriminalization, armed surveillance drones, whole body scanners, stop and frisk searches (all sanctioned by Congress, the White House, the courts and the like)—would understandably sound more like a eulogy to freedoms lost than an affirmation of rights we truly possess.

The Cost of Cashless Welfare By Michael Ferguson

No doubt about it, totalitarianism does not come cheap nowadays; the cashless welfare trial of the card on just 2,000 lab subjects, sorry, people, has already cost the haemorrhaging taxpayer, $ 18.9 million. Well, at first, I thought this was $ 189 million, and that would not have surprised me either; nothing surprises me anymore. Still, the system wants it because it is cashless, and can be used to smash the unemployed deplorables, whom the elite like to metaphorically hunt like those predator creatures in the movies of the same name:
  https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2017/may/02/cashless-welfare-card-trialled-for-fewer-than-2000-people-at-cost-of-up-to-189m
  https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-05-02/cashless-welfare-trial-costing-taxpayers-$10k-per-participant/8488268

“The federal government is spending up to $18.9m to trial the cashless welfare card for fewer than 2,000 people. Data published by the Department of Social Services under freedom of information reveals that is the “estimated maximum” cost of the trial. The trial involves about 1,850 people, according to the most recent evaluation, published in February, although it had about 2,000 participants in October. The program has cost the department $2.6m in administration costs and the private firm providing the cards, Indue, is on a $7.9m contract. The government has paid $1m and $1.6m for wrap-around support services in Ceduna (South Australia) and the East Kimberley respectively. The Australian Council of Social Service said the government was continuing the program at an extraordinary cost, despite the lack of reliable evidence of its effectiveness. Its chief executive, Cassandra Goldie, said the money should be diverted to investing in proven support services. “The cashless debit card costs around $10,000 a year per participant to administer, when the person themselves is receiving a meagre $14,000 a year in Newstart payments. How on earth is this good value?” Goldie said.”

Spectacularly Diverse Day Care Fraud By Peter Ewer

Wow, this one has almost everything, and everybody, coming along for a fun Sunday drive, with cut lunches and kids, falling out of the car, as it strolls along:
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7459339/Police-working-Border-Force-Red-Rose-Day-Care-fraud-scam.html?ico=pushly-notifcation-small

“Police are working with the Department of Immigration after 39 people were charged over an alleged daycare fraud syndicate. Twenty-two mothers in south west Sydney were arrested and charged this week after 17 people were charged in May over the alleged rort. Police allege they took part in a huge childcare scam which gained $4million in just nine months. In a press conference on Thursday, Acting Assistant Commissioner of State Crime Command Stuart Smith said police were working with immigration. Police usually work with border protection when a suspect is a recent arrival whose alleged crimes may deny them the right to remain in the country. The man who allegedly masterminded the scam, Alee Farmann, is an Iraqi refugee.”

Would She Lie to You? By Paul Walker

It reminds me of the comedy game show, Would I Lie to You … after the failure of banning guns in New Zealand, with few people willing to turn over their unregistered weapons, we have the political career of Jacinda Ardern under question because of this:
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7458607/New-Zealand-Prime-Minister-Jacinda-Ardern-forced-resign-sexual-assault-scandal.html?ico=pushly-notifcation-small
  https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12267036

“A sexual assault allegation that rocked the New Zealand Labour party has tarnished Jacinda Ardern's reputation and led to speculation that she could be forced to quit as prime minister. A male Labour party staffer resigned after he was accused of assaulting a 19-year-old female volunteer and harassing other party members. The teenager told The Spinoff that she was pinned down and sexually assaulted by the man in 2018. Labour president Nigel Haworth also quit over the party's handling of the investigation. Ms Ardern said she was not aware of the sexual assault claim until it was published in the media - but opposition leader Simon Bridges has claimed she knew about it earlier than that. 'I think she knew. All very well, it may be that the president is in the wrong, but when you think about this, the prime minister, if you stand back and look at it, is ducking and diving accountability,' he told Newshub. You have this in the media and indeed her being interviewed about alleged sexual assaults for several weeks now... I think she knew and she is saying she didn't.' Mr Bridges said Mr Haworth was the 'fall guy' for Ms Ardern, and claimed the prime minister had 'done the least possible every step of the way - it's just wrong'. Political commentator Duncan Garner said Ms Ardern could be forced to stand down as prime minister. 'Ms Ardern has squandered a massive lead - like a racing car driver a lap ahead crashing into the side wall. I simply can't say with certainty if Ms Ardern is going to walk away from this mass pile up,' he wrote for Newshub. 'I can't rule out that she may be forced to resign as prime minister.'

Alternative Health as Terrorism By Mrs Vera West

It all started with declaring those opposing the Great Replacement of whites as terrorists, and then it swept to conservative Christian sites, and now alternative health. The terrorism bit comes from the establishment view that all  Right (never Left) conspiracy theorists are terrorist, that is how the word is now defined. Such is the sweeping nature of totalitarianism, coming to a street near you:
  https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2019/09/17/pharmaceutical-industry-bad-reputation.aspx

“The pharmaceutical industry is now the most distrusted and poorly regarded industry in the U.S. This according to the latest Gallup Poll published September 3, 2019, which assesses Americans' views of 25 industry sectors on an annual basis. A mere 27% have a "totally positive" view of the drug industry, while 58% have a "totally negative" view; 15% are neutral. It's an unexpected turn of events, surely, as signs of growing distrust have become more readily evident. Big Pharma distrust was also blamed for "fueling the anti-vaxxer movement and playing a role in the measles outbreak" in an April 2019 article in USA Today. Quoted in the article, vaccine profiteer and patent holder Dr. Paul Offit also capitalizes on the recent revelation that the FBI now views conspiracy theories as a "significant domestic terrorism threat." "'In order to believe vaccines are hurting you means your doctor is lying to you,' Offit says. To believe that, 'on some level you have to be a conspiracy theorist' who believes the industry is 'directing the government and the health care industry to lie about vaccines.'" In other words, if you have doubts about vaccine safety and would like to see more evidence, you're a conspiracy theorist, placing you in the category of a domestic terrorist threat. At least that's what Offit would like you to think. The fact is, lies are being told about vaccines. As just one example, and an egregious one, in a January 2019 interview with CBS News, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), flat-out denied that vaccines can cause injury or death. That is not only misinformation, it's an outright lie. Since 1988, the federally operated vaccine injury compensation program (VICP) created under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 has paid out about $4 billion in awards to vaccine injured victims, and that's just 31% of the petitions filed for compensation.”

Now, Normalised Paedophilia By Mrs Vera West

I have been predicting for some time now that the next big thing of the progressives would be to deconstruct, and normalise paedophilia, and there have been moves in the media to do so, careful ones, but that was how it was done in the gender agenda in the early 1960s. As usual, the universities are moving on this one:
  https://summit.news/2019/09/15/ohio-college-normalizes-pedophilia-as-a-sexual-orientation/

“San Diego State University is teaching students that pedophilia could merely be considered to be an alternative “sexual orientation.” “An actual topic we discussed in class today at a State University after watching an 8-minute Vice News video showcasing self-identified pedophiles. This is going to be mainstreamed,” tweeted Alex Mazzara. The photo shows a presentation slide entitled ‘Pedophilia as a Sexual Orientation’. It suggests that embracing pedophilia as an alternative sexual orientation could be part of the “acceptance of diverse sexual identities.” The VICE video showcasing pedophiles may well have been their platforming of Todd Nickerson, a self-confessed pedophile. VICE’s article about Nickerson sympathetically portrayed him, an individual who openly admits wanting to molest children, as a victim of right-wing “vigilantes”. Conservatives have been warning for years that the ultimate endgame of every fetish, gender identity and sexuality being not merely tolerated but endorsed would eventually be the mainstreaming of pedophilia.”

Letter to The Editor - Conservatives and the Brexit Party will co-operate to maximise their joint success

To The Australian        Michael Sexton is right to state that the essential issue of Brexit is the question of national sovereignty ("Plenty of spanners thrown into the Brexit works", 18/9). He could have added that the resumption of independence for Britain will be a profound victory for the principle of intellectual freedom, something gravely threatened by the EU's authoritarian attitude to legal issues.     There must surely be an election to resolve once and for all the Brexit puzzle. We must hope that, firstly, the Conservatives and the Brexit Party will co-operate to maximise their joint success and, secondly, that enough Britons have been revolted by the dishonourable sabotage of the popular will, as clearly established in the 2016 referendum, to switch their votes from Remain to Leave.

Machetes, Didgeridoos and Home Invasion By John Steele

Are You Ready to Lose Your Licence for Being Sober? By James Reed

The people need to be aware of this if they are not, so watch out:
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7454621/Roadside-drug-driving-tests-called-question-return-incorrect-cannabis-readings.html?ico=pushly-notifcation-small

“Roadside drug tests to detect cannabis are returning incorrect readings, according to a new study. University of Sydney PhD student Thomas Arkell found that the two most commonly used devices by police gave false results. 'What we found was that these test results often came back positive when they should have been negative, or negative when they should have been positive,' he said. A study published in the Drug Testing and Analysis journal found two commonly used police devices regularly failed to detect high levels of THC - the active active ingredient in cannabis. After testing 300 subjects who had cannabis in their system, the Securetec DrugWipe returned a false negative nine per cent of the time. The Draeger DrugTest 5000 also wasn't able to detect cannabis and got it wrong in 16 per cent of all tests. Mr Arkell found that the police devices returned false positive readings of five and 10 per cent respectively when the subjects had a low amount of THC in their saliva. Both devices were used when charging almost 10,000 users who drove while under the influence of cannabis in New South Wales in 2016. The number of drivers undergoing roadside drug tests on the rise every year, with NSW Police set to conduct 200,000 tests in 2020. 'Given that these tests can cost at least $40 each – and potentially lead to serious life-changing penalties for drivers – it is imperative that these concerns around reliability and accuracy are addressed,' Mr Arkell said. The study also found that accuracy, specificity and sensitivity of the two police devices weren't up to the standard recommended by EU authorities. Senior author of the study Iain McGregor said cannabis testing should be just as reliable as blood alcohol testing. 'Detecting impairment due to cannabis use is an important goal in promoting road safety but using saliva tests to do this appears fraught with issues,' Prof McGregor said. 'We should instead be focusing on developing novel methods for detecting drivers who are actually impaired by cannabis. 'The two devices used by police in MDT were never designed to measure impairment'.”

Now Even Plastic Knives are Regulated in Oz (Isn’t it About Time, Too?) By John Steele

What would the Vikings, Spartans, ancient Northern barbarians, Chinese shaolin warriors, the Japanese samurai and Christian warriors of all past ages think of this?
  https://www.news.com.au/finance/business/retail/plastic-knives-flagged-at-woolworths-selfserve-checkouts-due-to-nsw-knife-laws/news-story/fdf3680fe1ffd6c2742608cd4d42c88d

“A security measure put on the word “knife” at Woolworths means customers trying to buy plastic knives at any of the supermarket’s self-service check-outs will need to ask employees for approval. A customer shopping at Erskineville Woolworths, in Sydney’s inner west, earlier today noticed the security measure when she attempted to buy a 50 pack of plastic knives and was stopped at the self-service checkout. A Woolworths employee had to come over and approve the purchase, allowing the customer to continue scanning items. In a statement, Woolworths confirmed it had controls in place to make sure knives, regardless of what they were made of, could not be bought by people under 16. Selling knives to children under the age 16 is illegal in NSW. The only exception is that retailers are allowed to sell a plastic knife designed as an eating utensil. “New South Wales residents under 16 years of age are prohibited by law from buying certain types of knives. “In line with these requirements, we’ve put controls in place within our point of sale systems to flag whenever any kind of knife is scanned at a self-serve checkout,” a Woolworths spokeswoman said. “As plastic knives are exempt from the ban, our store teams do not need to see ID when these items are scanned and will help customers finalise their purchase.” Any product that contains the word “knife” will be flagged by the self-service checkout and a Woolies worker will need to approve the sale before the customer can continue, the supermarket giant confirmed.”

A Part of China By James Reed

“The first Chinese-born lawmaker to be elected to Australia’s Parliament has come under attack over her links to a Chinese foreign influence network. Gladys Liu, who was born in Hong Kong in 1964, was elected to the conservative government in May elections to represent a Melbourne electoral division with a large population of ethnic Chinese voters. She has come under media scrutiny recently over her membership in organizations overseen by the United Front Work Department of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee, which exert influence on important individuals, organizations and governments outside China. Concern is growing about China’s influence in Australia, which last year banned covert foreign interference in domestic politics. Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported Tuesday that Chinese government records indicate that Liu, who migrated to Australia in 1985, was a member of two provincial councils of the China Overseas Exchange Association between 2003 and 2015. That association reported to the State Council, China’s chief administrative authority, when Liu was a member, but has since merged with the United Front Work Department. She told Sky News television later Tuesday that she “cannot recall” being a member of those provincial councils. “If I can’t recall, I cannot be an active member of that council, can I?” she told Sky News. “I can tell you that I have never been a member of this council.”

But in a statement Wednesday, Liu said she held an “honorary role” in the council she had referred to — Guangdong Overseas Exchange Association — in 2011. But she said she no longer had any association with that organization. “Unfortunately, some Chinese associations appoint people to honorary positions without their knowledge or permission. I do not wish my name to be used in any of these associations and I ask them to stop using my name,” she said. “I have resigned from many organizations and I am in the process of auditing any organizations who may have added me as a member without my knowledge or consent,” she added. Opposition lawmakers on Wednesday accused Liu of making misleading statements about her past links to “Chinese Communist Party propaganda arms.” She has also come under fire for failing to condemn China’s military grab for contested territory in the South China Sea. Asked in the Sky News interview if she agreed that China’s efforts to take over most of the South China Sea were unlawful, she replied, “I definitely put Australia’s interests first.” She said Wednesday that during the interview “I was not clear and should have chosen my words better.” “We do not take sides on competing territorial claims but we call on all claimants to resolve disputes peacefully and in accordance with international law,” she said of Australia’s policy on the South China Sea. Damien Kingsbury, a Deakin University expert on international politics, said the controversy surrounding Liu raised national security concerns. “She’s certainly seen to have a link to an organization that is associated with intelligence-gathering operations and that would have to be very worrying,” Kingsbury said.

Stop Racism Against Chinese Students! Let Then Take Over the Student Unions! Also, Make the Universities Property of the Chinese Communist Party! By James Reed

Wow, it feels exhilarating to be on the high moral ground this time, looking down from the top of the moral mountain, through the mists of diversity at all the “racists” below. Imagine how outraged a connoisseur of all things multicult and diverse, like me, is by this little gem:
  https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/racist-decision-bans-chinese-students-from-running-in-university-election-20190910-p52px5.html

“International students have been banned from contesting student elections at one of Victoria's most prestigious universities, in a move to stop a group of Chinese students seizing control of the student union. The ban, which the country's peak student body called an "attack on international students", comes as politicians and academics are increasingly concerned about Chinese Communist Party influence at Australian universities. Leaders of Monash University's Caulfield campus student body last week passed a new rule that students wishing to run at next week's election must be eligible to work 22 hours per week. Foreigners on student visas are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week, meaning more than half the campus' students are barred from running for election. The rules were passed by Monash Student Association Caulfield's student council to thwart the election hopes of a rival group led by and consisting mainly of Chinese international students. The international student group, which is considering legal action to fight the ruling, was tipped to comfortably win the election and take over the union.”

Abortion is Fine, but Nationalism (for the West) is Evil! By Chris Knight

  https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9926161/cheerleader-brooke-skylar-richardson-baby-death-walks-free-apology/

“THE cheerleader who buried her unwanted baby in her garden was slammed by a judge as she walked free from court on Friday. Brooke Skylar Richardson, from Ohio, US, had been accused of smashing her newborn's skull with a rock days after her prom when she was aged 18. But on Thursday, she was cleared of aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment – only being found guilty of gross abuse of a corpse. During sentencing, Judge Donald Oda slammed Richardson for poor choices which may have resulted in the stillbirth of the baby, who she named Annabelle. “I believe if you had made different decisions, Annabelle would still be here,” the judge said. “I think that your choices before birth, during birth and after birth show a grotesque disregard for life.” Judge Donald Oda sentenced Richardson, now 20, to seven days in jail for the corpse abuse charge, but she was credited for time already served. She will instead serve three years of probation – but if she violates this, she can be locked up for up to a year in jail.”

Degenerate Universities By Mrs Vera West

Things have not gone this far yet on most Australian campuses, but they are on the way to this, a kind of decadent athletics of sorts:
  https://www.thecollegefix.com/penis-ring-toss-lubricant-taste-tests-featured-at-public-universitys-sex-ed-carnival/

“A penis ring toss, vagina bean bag toss, and lubricant taste tests were just a few of the activities students at George Mason University took part in Tuesday night at a “Consent Carnival” hosted by the Student Support and Advocacy Center. The vagina bean bag toss boasted giant inflatable lips that served to mimic a “vagina,” and students could throw large pink bean bags into it. The game doubled as an educational display, informing students on flyers that “not all people with vaginas are women.” “Genitalia is not an indicator of gender and it can be harmful to assume so,” the display added. Other information provided included the number of nerve endings on the clitoris (8,000), how the labia comes in different colors (“light pink to dark brown”), and the fact that the vagina is self cleaning. As for the penis ring toss, the educational component to that game was that the eight or so three-foot-high penis inflatables were surrounded by signs on how to correctly use a condom, among other information. Meanwhile there was popcorn and candy for students to nibble on. They were also offered tastings of various lubricants. The flavors included cupcake, watermelon and green apple. Additional stations at the carnival included the “gender unicorn” booth, which helped teach students how to properly react to friends coming out as LGBTQ. There was also an “affirmative consent kissing booth” and a “you mustache for consent” table that sought to teach students how to get verbal consent before and as they engage in sexual activity. “Condom balloon pop” and “don’t touch my hair” booths were also offered to the crowd, but many students flocked to the face painter and snowcone machine, which appeared to be the biggest hits at the event. (The face painter told The Fix students were not asking for sexually explicit images.) And no carnival would be complete without a balloon artist.

These examples do not in themselves give cause to assume that legal limits are being exceeded.”

The Rising Fight Against Porn By Mrs Vera West

Cheer up lads, the fight is grim and it is easy to lose spirit, and hope that a large rock flung towards earth will finish everything off, but there is always hope. See, the state of Arizona is citing porn as public health risk, and isn’t it, a kind of plague sweeping throughout the land?
  https://www.foxnews.com/health/arizona-follows-lead-of-other-states-in-calling-pornography-a-public-health-crisis?

“Arizona lawmakers last week approved a resolution calling for efforts to prevent children from being exposed to pornography online, a move similar to those of legislative bodies in at least 15 other states that are calling adult sexual content a public health crisis. "It is an epidemic in our society, and this makes a statement that we have a problem," said Arizona state Sen. Sylvia Allen, a Republican whose chamber approved the resolution last Monday. She blamed pornography for contributing to a number of societal issues, such as violence against women, sexual activity among teens and unintended pregnancies. The resolution is non-binding but could signal future action. Many of the resolutions put forward are based on a model written by anti-porn group the National Center on Sexual Exploitation. Mark Kernes, a senior editor at the trade publication Adult Video News media network, called porn harmless entertainment meant for adults. He said linking sexual adult content with social problems is “complete fear-mongering.” Others say the resolutions could create a risk for LGBTQ groups and leave out calls for better sex education for teenagers. "If you stub your toe, that might be something you can't solve yourself, but that doesn't make it a public health issue," said Emily Rothman, a professor of community health sciences at Boston University.”
