Young Folk, You Will Not Have a Pension (or Even a Job) By Peter Ewer

I have long believed that the social welfare system would eventually be eliminated, dying the death of a thousand cuts. This has slowly happened with the dole and other benefits. Now the mangy cat is out of the bag on the end of pensions:
  https://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/federal-treasurer-warns-welfare-not-guaranteed-for-future-generations/news-story/c667fa3140cd3cfa8c4f47a2ac981cc0

“There is no guarantee the pension will be available for future generations, federal Treasurer Scott Morrison warned yesterday. Mr Morrison said Australia could not take for granted its generous safety net or assume it would always be there. At a post-Budget breakfast in Brisbane, he said Australia needed to keep growing the economy and had to be globally competitive. “We owe to future generations (to pay for) health, schools, pensions, the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme,” he said. ‘‘There are no guarantees about that.” Mr Morrison said the Federal Government was committed to ensuring pensions and essential services would be there in the future, through good financial management. Pushing the need for corporate tax cuts for the big end of town, he warned that the US, UK and France could soon all be more competitive than Australia.”

Big Pharma, Profit over People? Whoever Would Have Thought That? By Mrs Vera West

Here is a great article showing that big Pharma is more concerned with profit making than health and helping people:
  https://www.businessinsider.com/pharma-puts-profitability-before-public-health-when-funding-research-2018-9?IR=T&utm_content=buffer7e84e&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer

“An Australian study has found that tactics used by tobacco, pharmaceutical, food, mining, chemical and alcohol companies serve to drive scientific research questions away from those most relevant to public health. Members of the Evidence, Policy and Influence Collaborative from the University of Sydney's Charles Perkins Centre looked at corporate influence on research agendas across different fields. The University of Sydney study, published in the American Journal of Public Health, found that of 36 articles identified, 19 demonstrated that industries tend to prioritise lines of inquiry that focus on products, processes or activities that can be commercialised and marketed.’ The medical industry tends to fund research on products with the potential to generate revenue such as drugs and devices.”

Letter to The Editor - The “greatest social justice issue in our country” is not Aboriginal disadvantage but the growth of poverty generally

To The Australian        Robert Tickner is merely the latest advocate of "indigenous" constitutional recognition to repeat a set of unconvincing assertions ("Indigenous voice to Parliament 'can't fail'", 10/10). Claims that a constitutionally entrenched "voice" to Parliament would not amount to a "third chamber" miss the point that it would inevitably place undue pressure on politicians and easily be given greater powers in the future. The phrase "closing the gap" also needs to be challenged. What if that gap cannot be closed in the foreseeable future for a number of reasons that have nothing to do with constitutional recognition? Is the phrase itself a wooden horse? As for the need to hear "the aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people", we hear these already every day through the mass media. The “greatest social justice issue in our country” is not Aboriginal disadvantage but the growth of poverty generally with increased homelessness.

China Rewrites the Bible By James Reed

Ah, China … the things this country gets up to on the road to domination of the known universe! Things like simply rewriting the Bible so that it fits better into its communist-bee hive capitalism worldview:
  https://www.christianpost.com/news/china-trying-to-rewrite-the-bible-force-churches-sing-communist-anthems-227664/

“The Chinese government is supervising a five-year plan to make Christianity more compatible with socialism in which there will be a "rewrite" of the Bible, a prominent religious freedom activist has told Congress. The Rev. Bob Fu, a former Chinese house church leader who immigrated to the United States in 1997 and founded the persecution watchdog organization China Aid, provided great detail during a House hearing Thursday about a plan enacted by leading state-sanctioned denominations in China to "Sincize" Christianity. As China's crackdown on religion has seen many house churches demolished and thousands of crosses removed from churches nationwide, Fu warned upfront that what is happening right now in China represents the highest degree of persecution for independent faith groups the country has seen in decades.

The Everything Bubble: Soon All the Bubbles are Going to Burst By James Reed

I hope, like me, you love “happy” endings, because one seems to the coming our way, fast. In the video below, investor Mike Maloney reviews an awful number of articles about the coming global housing crisis bubble, which is set to bust, spraying misery and gore all over the place:

Socialism and the Intellectuals By James Reed

Over a glass of “turps” I was contemplating why intellectuals are socialists. The wisdom of the drink aided me to conclude that there is probably no singular reason, but rather a multitude of reasons ranging from being uniformed/ignorant useful idiots, to being at the low level of the global conspiracy. Those at these  upper levels usually work for various think tanks, doing things like getting immigration information and producing propaganda to be used by the globalists in the media. They write the books and textbooks that educate the next generation; we don’t.

Common though to all of these critters, is a sense of hatred and resentment, a rejection of the society and its traditions that gave them everything. Their education is used to destroy the society that produced them, and perverse as it is, they are not put on trial for treason, but given the highest rewards, while those foolish enough to oppose them, are rendered unemployed. Unfortunately, our side of politics, being fundamentally intellectually challenged, do not understand social dynamics and the role that ideas play in propagating ideology, so, there is ultimately little challenge to the status quo of ideas because there is no cultivation of intellectuals by our side. This is because  our side is too cash-strapped and too mean. Compare this to Soros who has the money to spend, and is generous in getting the job done. My guess is that even if our side of politics had the money, we would still have the same problems of getting the job done due to this basic Scroogeness. The price paid by thinkers for supporting us is so great, that few are willing to risk destitution. I don’t blame them. Hence, in the longer term there will be no opposition thinkers and writers to oppose the march of the cultural Marxists, and our battles will all be for nothing.

Go! Duck! Go! By Chris Knight

We have been covering Big Tech doing all sorts of bad things re free speech. Google, well you know the story. But, there is an answer, at least if we believe what they are saying, and I can’t swear on a stack of Bibles that the following is true. But, just maybe it is true, and we should do the switch, big time, to the good guys:
  https://www.quora.com/Why-should-I-use-DuckDuckGo-instead-of-Google

“Gabriel Weinberg, CEO & Founder at DuckDuckGo (2008-present)

#1 — Google tracks you. We don’t.
You share your most intimate secrets with your search engine without even thinking: medical, financial and personal issues, along with all the day to day things that make you, well, you. All of that personal information should be private, but on Google it’s not. On Google, your searches are tracked, mined, and packaged up into a data profile for advertisers to follow you around the Internet through those intrusive and annoying ever-present banner ads, using Google’s massive ad networks, embedded across millions of sites and apps. In fact, it’s a myth that you need to track people to make money in web search. When you search ‘car’ we can show you a car ad without knowing anything about you. That’s how we make money and it doesn't involve tracking because it is based on the keyword and not the person. Google could do this too; they just chose not to— all that tracking is to power their ad networks so that ads can follow you around the Internet using your search history and other information they have on you.

The Socialist Good Eating Guide By James Reed

Notice how in each of our cities there are always plenty of free glossy magazines around, say at community centres, usually dealing with food? How the chattering class love their food, almost as much as the chardonnay, drunk while wailing about white privilege. That’s just how it goes in cultural Marxist utopias, such as Australia. Venezuela has an even more advanced culinary culture, embodying the very best of socialist values:
  https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-09-20/socialist-venezuela-poor-starve-death-while-politically-powerful-feast
  https://mises.org/wire/socialist-venezuela-poor-starve-death-while-politically-powerful-feast

“The socialist policies of the Venezuela government continue to impose a living hell on its people. Hyperinflation has turned its currency to literal garbage. Mortality rates have skyrocketed for groups such as infants, pregnant mothers, and the elderly as clinics have shut down and medicine grown scarce. Food has disappeared from store shelves forcing the population to consume pets and zoo animals. A recent poll found that 78% of Venezuelans “reported trouble keeping themselves fed.”

Elites Seeking to Make Europe Part of Africa By Richard Miller

The big push to finish off traditional white Europe is on, as the subtext of this article makes clear:
  https://www.economist.com/europe/2018/09/22/why-europe-should-focus-on-its-growing-interdependence-with-africa?fsrc=scn/tw/te/bl/ed/whyeuropeshouldfocusonitsgrowinginterdependencewithafricacharlemagne

“Today’s waves of African migration are merely a prelude. Of the 2.2bn citizens added to the global population by 2050, 1.3bn will be Africans—about the size of China’s population today. And more of them will have the means to travel. Those Africans risking the trip north across the Mediterranean today are not the poorest, but those with a mobile phone to organise the trip and money to pay smugglers. Few of the Nigerians who attempt the crossing are from their country’s poor north, for example; almost all are from its wealthier south. As African countries gradually prosper, migration will surely increase, not decrease. Emmanuel Macron raised these points in a recent interview. The French president was recommending a new book, “The Rush to Europe”, published in French by Stephen Smith of Duke University, which models past international migrations like that of Mexicans into America to show that the number of Afro-Europeans (Europeans with African roots) could rise from 9m at present to between 150m and 200m by 2050, perhaps a quarter of Europe’s total population.

The Tyranny of the Central Banks By James Reed

We have not discussed what the central banks are getting up to for a while. Fortunately in this fabulous information age, people like me, who are getting old and challenged for words, can readily find top quality material to report on.
  https://ellenbrown.com/2018/09/14/central-banks-have-gone-rogue-putting-us-all-at-risk/

“Central bankers are now aggressively playing the stock market. To say they are buying up the planet may be an exaggeration, but they could. They can create money at will, and they have declared their “independence” from government. They have become rogue players in a game of their own. Excluding institutions such as Blackrock and Vanguard, which are composed of multiple investors, the largest single players in global equity markets are now thought to be central banks themselves. An estimated 30 to 40 central banks are invested in the stock market, either directly or through their investment vehicles (sovereign wealth funds). According to David Haggith on Zero Hedge:

•    “Activists backed by left-wing billionaires like George Soros are giving cash to protesters arrested for disrupting Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings.
•    The cash is for the protesters to resolve their charges after an arrest.
•    Activists also explained how individuals could be arrested and released in order to disrupt the hearing multiple times a day.

“The Huffington Post has accused “unruly” white people of flying into a “destructive rage,” in response to Nike’s latest “Just Do It” ad featuring Colin Kaepernick. The article claims that social media posts made by Nike customers who are seendestroying their Nike products is an example of dangerous “destructive rage,” MRCTV reported. “Unruly whites were seen vandalizing property, damaging well-mown lawns and setting fire to running shoes that had chiefly been worn for purposes other than running,” the Huffington Post article exclaims.”

Great Liquidity Crisis; Great Social Unrest By James Reed

Most of know that the next big economic crash is not too far off and that predictions are that it will resemble the Great Depression. There are plenty of crash sites on the internet proposing that and worse. But, what do more mainstream sources say, if we read between the lines?
  http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/jpmorgan-the-next-market-crash-will-usher-in-major-social-unrest_09062018

“Predictions about the next market crash aren’t all flowers and rainbows. But JPMorgan Chase claims that not only will the public be subjected to a major financial crisis, but it will be compounded by the massive social unrest that will follow. J.P. Morgan’s top quant, Marko Kolanovic, predicts a “Great Liquidity Crisis” will hit the financial markets hard and be marked by flash crashes in stock prices and social unrest. According to CNBC, Kolanovic says that the timing of when this next crisis will occur is uncertain but markets appear to be safe through the first half of 2019. Kolanovic is a 43-year-old analyst with a Ph.D. in theoretical physics. He has risen in prominence for explaining, and occasionally predicting, how the new, algorithm-dominated stock market will behave. Kolanovic predicts the market will suffer from sudden and severe stock sell-offs sparked by lightning-fast machines. Unprecedented actions by central banks to shore up asset prices will all lead to social unrest not seen in the United States in half a century.”

China Exploits Africa, But the Left in the West Don’t Care By James Reed

The big thing about Western colonialism, leading to the great social mess in South Africa, is that the West is eternally guilty. The Left have this as one of their “big things,” but they go to sleep when their communist mummy China does the exploiting. The extent of this exploitation in Africa is staggering, as Doug Casey claims:
  https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-09-03/doug-casey-chinas-exploitation-africa
  https://www.caseyresearch.com/doug-casey-on-chinas-exploitation-of-africa/

“Justin: Is China exploiting Africa? Doug: Of course “exploit” is a loaded word; it implies one-sided, unbalanced dealings, and unfair business—although the word “fair” also has lots of baggage, and politically charged meanings. But, yes, they’re definitely exploiting Africa. We’re seeing a veritable re-colonization of Africa. Every time I visit Africa I see more and more Chinese. It doesn’t matter which country; they’re everywhere. It’s important to remember that Africa doesn’t produce anything besides raw materials. There’s close to zero manufacturing, like 1% of the world’s total, in sub-Saharan Africa. And almost all of that is in South Africa. The little there is, is only produced with the help foreigners—Europeans, but increasingly the Chinese. … The Chinese see the place the way the Spanish saw Mexico and Peru in the 16th C. Of course they won’t say that in public. In fact it’s very non-PC for anyone to make that observation…

Dying for a Paycheck By Peter West

A new book by Jeffrey Pfeffer, Dying for A Paycheck (HarperBusiness, 2018), documents the terrible price that modern globalised capitalism, with its manic production schedule is having upon human social life, and health. The focus is largely upon the US, as most research is, but it is still relevant to us in Australia, since we are a microcosm of the US, and most diseases made in America, soon blow to our shores. In one US survey, 61 percent of employees said that workplace stress had made them sick, and of these 7 percent had been hospitalised. Job stress in the US costs employers over $ 300 billion per year, with 120,000 excess deaths annually. China is even worse with an estimated one million people a year dying from overwork, and rising. The world has become a vast sweatshop:

The Elite Know that the Collapse of Society is Coming … After All, They Planned it that Way! By John Steele

Here is a good article on how the elites know that the collapse of society is coming, and like rats deserting a ship, running down the mooring ropes to get to some sort of “safety”:
  http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/bankers-and-tech-executives-know-the-collapse-of-society-is-coming-and-are-feverishly-prepping-for-it

“While most of the general population has been lulled into a false sense of security, bankers and tech executives are spending millions upon millions of dollars to prepare for the collapse of society.  Do they know something that the rest of us do not?  Apparently talk of doomsday scenarios has become very popular at Silicon Valley dinner parties, and as you will see below, having a plan to escape to New Zealand appears to be a very popular “Plan B” among the tech elite.  Of course this is not just a west coast phenomenon.  Many bankers on the east coast have similar concerns and have also been developing contingency plans.  Ladies and gentlemen, they know what is coming and they are feverishly getting prepared for it.  In fact, J.P. Morgan Chase’s head quant just publicly declared that the next financial crisis is going to result in “social unrest not seen in the U.S. in half a century.”

Can it Be?! Can it Really Be? Now Others are Joining the James Reed Global Campaign to Shut Down the Universities! By James Reed

It is only human to get excited when others, bigger and better than oneself, embrace an idea that one has been shouting about for at least a decade. This is the need for the West to shut down its universities and radically restructure the higher education sector away from politically correct bs, and to embrace STEM and technological developments, with a direct focus upon job creation. In any case, here is the position of Professor Jason Hill, author of We Have Overcome: An Immigrant’s Letter to the American People, (Bombardier Books, 2018):
  https://vdare.com/posts/professor-recommends-shutdown-of-liberal-universities

“TUCKER CARLSON: Jason Hill is a professor of philosophy at DePaul University, but if we follow his advice he could soon be unemployed he just published a remarkable piece in The Hill newspaper saying that universities —and he’s worked in them for a long time — have become so overwhelmed by identity politics, socialism, anti-Americanism and dumbness that essentially they’re beyond saving. He suggests that taxpayers and private donors pull funding and let the whole system collapse for the betterment of the country. Professor Hill is also the author of the book We Have Overcome which I have not read but plan to because his piece is literally that good. . . PROFESSOR JASON HILL: I think these Bolshevik-loving welfare scholars have basically hijacked the system and are indoctrinating our students with not just anti-American invective's, but against the very core values that form our republic — capitalism, free speech, the morality of wealth creation.”

Deracinated Macron the Macaroni Man By John Steele

I am against steroid use, but some people need a shot in the butt. “French’ President Macron comes to mind:
  https://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/08/30/macron-denmark-true-dane-frenchman/

“French politicians have reacted with anger after Emmanuel Macron asserted that “true” Frenchmen and Danes “do not exist”, and attacked the people he rules over as stubbornly resistant to change while on an official visit to Denmark. The French president made the remarks while on a three-day tour of Denmark and Finland, where he is hoping to establish a “progressive arc” of nations supporting his vision of a globalised EU superstate, which would revolve around a liberal conception of human rights, ahead of European Parliament elections next year. Speaking before a gala lobster dinner on Wednesday, at which Denmark’s Queen Margaret was in attendance, Macron praised the Scandinavian nation as one which is “completely open to the rest of the world” compared with a France whose people he said showed a “Gaulish stubborn resistance to change”.

There is Only One Party, and That’s the Party Party! By Michael Ferguson

How easy it all is when there is really only one party, with one set of anti-traditionalist globalist policies. Even if your dad was prime minister, don’t bother supporting the Liberals, because you can support Labor just as well, and at the end of the day, it is basically the same thing:
  https://amp.smh.com.au/politics/federal/malcolm-turnbull-s-son-solicits-donations-for-labor-candidate-in-wentworth-byelection-20180901-p5015b.html

“Malcolm Turnbull's son Alex is soliciting donations for Labor ahead of a by-election in his father's former seat of Wentworth, telling followers it is the "best bang for the buck you'll get in political donations in your life".
Alex Turnbull, a Singapore-based fund manager, promised to "say what I think a bit more" following his father's ousting as Prime Minister in last week's Liberal Party coup, in which he was replaced by former treasurer Scott Morrison. In a wide-ranging interview with Fairfax Media this week, he said it was "impossible" to vote for the Coalition "in good conscience" because of its climate change stance, and accused the Liberal Party of being hijacked by the coal industry. On Saturday, he plugged his friend Tim Murray, the Labor candidate for his father's former seat of Wentworth in Sydney's eastern suburbs, directing his followers to Mr Murray's donations page. "Best bang for the buck you'll get in political donations in your life," the younger Turnbull tweeted. "Tight race, tight margin for government, big incremental effect whatever happens. If you want a federal election now this is the means by which to achieve it." Mr Turnbull and Mr Murray are friends from the investment world. Mr Murray is the co-founder of investment research firm J Capital, spent nearly two deades working in China and speaks Mandarin.”

White South Africans to Pay for Their Own Genocide Now! By Bruce Bennett

In an email from Nedbank widely circulated on social media, now confirmed as genuine by Head of Group Media Relations Kedibonea Molopyane, according to The South African, farmers are warned that their debts will have to be paid in full even after their property is confiscated by the government. It reads as follows:
