Eco-Hypocrites By James Reed

Young climate change princess Greta, who has lost her childhood, like so many of our lost generation, may have gone to the big climate apocalypse talkfest by classic wind jammer, I think, but most environmental gurus just jet in, creating even more carbon than I create, and I do it deliberately, burning everything I can to help the environment, especially plastic. The thick, choking fumes must be helping the environment, providing needed fuel for plants. But, hey, that is all minor compared to jet travel:
  https://summit.news/2019/10/22/study-finds-the-wealthy-celebrities-arent-changing-their-flying-habits-to-reduce-co2-emissions/

“A new study by Swedish academics has found that most wealthy people and celebrities are not changing their flying habits to help reduce climate change, with some responsible for a thousand times more CO2 emissions than the average. Imagine my shock. The study, carried out by researchers from from Lund University, reviewed the social media accounts of well known celebrities and wealthy philanthropists, many of who relentlessly virtue signal about climate change. Based on the information posted relating to travel, researchers calculated the starting point and destination for flights and then worked out likely CO2 emissions. Climate activist Bill Gates was responsible for approximately 1,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide, while flights used by Paris Hilton and Jennifer Lopez emitted 1,260 tonnes and 1,050 tonnes respectively. These figures compare to a global average of 100 kilos per person per year for air travel, or in other words more than a thousand times higher. According to the researchers, only a minority of the individuals studied have altered their behavior to minimize or stop flying. “Their lifestyles are norm-setting and identity-building. Above all, young people dream of traveling around the world in a similar way, without having to worry about money,” said Stefan Gössling. Once again, it’s very much a case of do as we say not as we do.”

Immigration Discriminates Against Locals! By Bruce Bennett

This is from America, but there is no reason to suppose that Australia is any different:
  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/10/29/congress-encourages-workplace-discrimination-against-americans-say-experts/

“Mass migration encourages mass discrimination against Americans, especially black employees, according to federal data unearthed by the Center for Immigration Studies. “You really have to be out of touch with reality to argue that there are no negative effects of immigration on native workers,” said Jason Richwine, a statistician who studied the issue for the Center for Immigration Studies. “Forty percent of the decline in labor participation rates among black workers over three decades was attributable to competition from illegal immigration,” labor lawyer Peter Kirsanow said at a CIS press event at the press club. That “comes to nearly 1 million fewer jobs for black Americans as a result of the competition from illegal immigrants … and it is the wage levels also,” Kirsanow told the audience on October 25. The huge impact of this discrimination is mostly ignored by wealthy “woke” professionals, who prefer to use discrimination claims as a political club against conservatives. The documented discrimination is just “the tip of the iceberg,” but left-wing critics have gone silent since Donald Trump was elected, said CIS director Mark Krikorian, Yet white-collar workers are also losing salaries and jobs because of discrimination, said Kevin Lynn, founder of Progressives for Immigration Reform:

Primary Principles. by David Smith

The quote from Sir Samuel Wadham (either above or below) is a statement of the primary importance of agriculture and farming to nations and peoples as a whole. Whilst I take the point he is making about farming being a biological activity rather than industrial activity, I believe it was given the term primary industry to show its primacy over all other forms of industry, primary meaning first in importance or original, and also, that from which all other [forms of industry] rely on and are derived from.

To be a viable nation state requires first and foremost that we be able to independently sustain ourselves with the necessities of life, food and clothing. This is the reason so many men were told in 1939-45, you cannot go to war, you are an essential industry for the war effort here at home. This included those from both primary and secondary industries. Essential; of primary importance once again.

Climate Change Mania as a Corporate Scam By James Reed

I have been sawing, no, saying, this, but who takes notice of me, a decaying circus clown, in clown world? But wait, as John the Lemmon said, I am not the only one:
  https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/10/31/corbyns-brother-trashes-open-borders-brands-extinction-rebellion-soros-funded-globalist-scam/

“Piers Corbyn, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s Brexiteer climate-sceptic elder brother, has lambasted Extinction Rebellion as a Soros-funded, EU- and UN-backed scam to transfer money from ordinary people to corporations.
Speaking to YouTube personality and former UKIP candidate Carl ‘Sargon of Akkad’ Benjamin, the physicist, weather forecaster, and former Labour councillor warned viewers that “climate policy is there to control you, not climate”. “The political origin of [Extinction Rebellion] is the globalist supernationals, the mega-rich. They’re funded by George Soros, among others, he spent 24 million dollars on the group which set up the so-called climate strike,” Corbyn alleged. “They are orchestrated by the mainstream media and tolerated deliberately by all the governments in the world, just about, bar very few,” he continued. “If you and I were to have a demonstration about Yemen, the war and arms, and so forth, we would be swept off the street in half an hour, right?” he told Benjamin. “Or if the miners’ strike had have tried to occupy London like they did, they would have had the horses against them straight away, they’d be swept away — so [Extinction Rebellion] are completely tolerated by the powers that be,” he added.”

How Can Small Businesses Survive This? By James Reed

Not all bad things from the law come from deliberate attempts to do evil. Sometimes there are situations of genuine harm, but politicians react by firing off more laws, when most often the problems are complex social problems that will not be solved just by further red tape. Here is an example:
  https://www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/politics/bosses-in-frame-for-workers-suicides-in-victoria/news-story/c8a3f4edf0263fe60221341c680d3be6?utm_source=The%20Australian&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=editorial&utm_content=TodaySHeadlines

“Negligent bosses could face up to 20 years in jail or multi-million-dollar fines over the suicide of their employees under workplace manslaughter laws proposed by the Victorian government. Under the tough new laws, an employer could be held liable if a worker committed suicide as a result of sustained workplace bullying and the employer, aware of the abuse, did not take action to reasonably guard against or respond to the conduct.
The new workplace manslaughter offence, if legislated, will apply to all workplace fatalities, including those resulting from mental as well as physical injuries. Victorian Attorney-General Jill Hennessy said an employer could face liability for a suicide where an employee's mental health had been “brutalised” at work, and the employer had rejected the worker's requests for assistance. She said the criminal standard of negligence would have to be met and causation established. “The standard is very high because the penalty is very high,” she said, adding the offence would not be easy to prove. Under the proposed legislation, a suicide found to be a direct result of negligent workplace practices and policies that substantially contribute to the death could constitute workplace manslaughter. Victorian Trades Hall Council secretary Luke Hilakari said 30 workers died each year in Victoria at work and tens of thousands were injured annually. “As long as every worker comes home from work, no boss needs to be jailed,’’ he said. “Until that happens, maybe there does need to be some bosses who go to jail and that will be the lesson.”

Sociology as Sorcery By Chris Knight

Having bombed at philosophy at university, in a low-ranking US asylum, I, with the lack of wisdom of youth, decided to study sociology. I soon found that the sociology of the 1980s was just various forms of Marxism warmed up. Later, postmodernism and a whole range of crazy French philosophy, from people like Derrida, soaked into the discipline, which now is beyond any chance of reform. These articles give some overview of the basics, but I think the situation is much worse, with every politically correct idea you can imagine radiating from this discipline. There is simply no opposition to this in the discipline at all, complete intellectual totalitarianism.
  https://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2019/10/31/sociology-as-religion-part-1/
  https://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/2019/11/01/sociology-as-religion-part-2/

So crazy has contemporary sociology become that a trio of academics, mainly from other disciplines, such as philosophy, set out to write a series of “hoax” papers on subjects such as dog rape in parks, and the “conceptual penis.” We need not go into fine detail here, but these papers all got published in postmodern sociology journals, but were later exposed as “hoaxes.” The big issue for the academics was the ethics of submitting such papers, but the real issue for people in the real world, is that the papers got accepted, and thus are examples of the sort of nonsense that sociology engages in; are the papers really “hoaxes,” when the entire discipline lacks any sort of objectivity, and anything politically correct, goes? But sociology is nonsense with a point, because the goal is always to further the culture of critique, deconstruction and thrashing of  … us, we the white deplorables who are destroyed at taxpayers’ expense.

Billionaire’s Criticisms of Feminism By Mrs Vera West

A lady billionaire has a few harsh things to say about feminism from a liberated rich woman position:
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-7544389/Billionaire-matchmaker-Anna-Bey-reveals-NEVER-pays-man-shouldnt-either.html

“Billionaire matchmaker Anna Bey teaches women how to date rich men and create sophisticated impressions in upscale social circles. The London-based etiquette expert, 33, explained why she never pays for a man on a date under any circumstance, saying that women already shoulder the burden of raising children and running the household. The Swedish-born founder of the School of Affluence also pointed out that women spend significant sums on maintaining their appearance, and expressed a wish for society to return to traditional gender roles. Viewers flocked to the comment section in support of Ms Bey's controversial views, with the vast majority echoing her criticism of modern feminism. Ms Bey began by explaining her stance on feminism and her belief that it no longer serves the needs of women. 'I am a traditional feminist who believes that the man has a role, and is not currently fulfilling his role in society,' she in her latest YouTube tutorial. 'I believe that feminism has started to take a direction that is no longer beneficial for women. 'Society is spoiling men - so what's happening now is instead of men [taking weight off] the shoulders of women, women are now offloading men.'

Starve the UN to Death! By James Reed

Good news! Good news! The UN is getting cash strapped, as all parasitic institutions come to be:
  https://www.technocracy.news/un-running-out-of-cash-pleads-for-money/

“The United Nations is running a deficit of $230 million, Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned on Monday, and may run out of money by the end of October unless world governments immediately meet their financial obligations. U.S. taxpayers would most likely be hardest hit by any immediate cash injection into the global organization. The United States is by far the U.N.’s biggest financial contributor, providing 22 percent of its operating budget and funding 28 percent of peacekeeping missions, which currently cost $8 billion annually. The next two major contributors are Germany and the U.K. In a letter intended for the 37,000 employees at the U.N. secretariat and obtained by AFP, Guterres said unspecified, “additional stop-gap measures” would have to be taken to ensure salaries and entitilements are met. These might include holding less meetings and cutting back on travel and associated entitlements. “Member States have paid only 70 per cent of the total amount needed for our regular budget operations in 2019. This translates into a cash shortage of $230 million at the end of September. We run the risk of depleting our backup liquidity reserves by the end of the month,” he wrote. Donald Trump has long pushed for reform of the U.N. and just last week warned the “future does not belong to globalists” in a warning to the organization’s leaders: In December 2017 Nikki Haley, the then United States Ambassador to the organization, announced the federal government had reduced its contribution to the U.N.’s annual budget by $285 million, as Breitbart News reported.

Venezuelan is Showing the Way on Medical Advancements! By Michael Ferguson

Look, we will be in the same situation soon. Have you tried to see a doctor, only to find them all booked up, and when you do get in, they dismiss your pains, those pins and needles sensations in your toes, write a prescription for some proton potion and send you out to hustle in then, the next billable patient? Well over in Venezuela, some people think that they have the answer to this problem:
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7549571/Venezuelans-turn-shamans-spiritual-healers-treatment-amid-shortage-critical-medicine.html

“A chronic medicine shortage in Venezuela is seeing more people turn to alternative medicine for treatment. It is a move that could put thousands of chronically-ill people in the crisis-wracked South American nation at risk of dying. However, with Venezuela's chronic medicine shortages and hyperinflation there seems to be little choice for those desperately in need of treatment. Humanitarian aid in recent months has led to a small improvement in the availability of medical supplies - but those working in the sector say shortages continue to plague the health-care system. The country's pharmacists' federation say pharmacies and hospitals have on average only about 20 per cent of the medicine stock needed. And as a result Venezuela's opposition parties say some 300,000 chronically ill people are in danger of dying from the shortages of medicines. All across Venezuela, but particularly in poor areas like Petare, patients cannot hope to afford the price of medicines that due to the economic crisis, have become exceedingly rare and expensive. And so they are looking to alternatives for treatment.”

For that Money, Maybe I Too Should Jump Ship and become a Pirate … eh … a Climate Protester!!! By James Reed

Follow the money trail – that is always good advice about getting to the bottom of things, of who has greased whose palms. The climate zealots, for example, seem to be on a good wicket:
  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7566515/Extinction-Rebellion-files-reveal-climate-zealots-paid-400-week.html
  https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/10/13/extinction-rebellion-members-paid-400-per-week-to-shut-down-britain/

“Extinction Rebellion is paying activists up to £400 a week to lead the protests that have brought chaos to the streets of Britain, documents seen by The Mail on Sunday reveal. Protesters have received payments totalling more than £70,000 in four months alone. But the eco-protest group privately fears it could face a six-figure tax bill if the money, which is given as expenses, is deemed to be payment for work done on XR's behalf. Last night, one Tory MP called on HMRC to launch an immediate investigation into the movement's tax affairs. Most of the thousands of activists who brought chaos to London last week were unpaid volunteers, but a select number are claiming the funds which enable them to dedicate their efforts to the protest group, also known as XR. This newspaper has seen claims for expenses from 168 activists, including Tamsin Omond, a baronet's granddaughter who has appeared in Tatler and rubbed shoulders with Boris Johnson – and who asked for money after ditching some public relations clients to concentrate on protests. A dossier of files from within XR reveals the inner workings of the protest movement and its finances.

The Hellscape of Socialism By James Reed

President Trump in his election speeches has been using the example of Venezuela as a case study of how socialist societies break down, ultimately collapsing into a modern hellscape. But how bad is Venezuela, actually? Answer: worse than we imagined. Here are some extracts from a persona account of life under socialism by Venezuelan writer, Christian Caruzo:
  https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2019/10/13/my-socialist-hell-20-years-of-decay-in-venezuela/

“This is a personal account of what has my life become after twenty years of Bolivarian Revolution— 20 years that comprise two-thirds of my life. I’ve done so many bread lines that I’ve lost count, I’ve engaged in bartering of food and medicine, I’m actively taking expired meds because it’s simply better than nothing, and I’ve adapted every aspect of my livelihood around the tribulations inherent to living in Socialist Venezuela while taking care of my younger brother who can’t fend for himself given his mental condition. It hasn’t been easy since we’re two socially inept siblings, but we keep going no matter what. … Socialism has slowly eroded the functional existence of every aspect of our lives, from our freedom of speech to our economic liberties, our access to healthcare and personal documents to our water supply. Each of these structural collapses – the absence of healthcare, the worthlessness of our currency, systemic corruption in the government and military, and widespread censorship – have affected me personally. Socialism is a trendy topic in the United States at the moment, which means my story is relevant beyond Venezuela’s borders. Over the course of this series, I hope to inform American readers about the realities of existence – and survival – in a socialist country. And I hope that by reading my stories, Americans will be forewarned enough that they remain distant stories, rather than firsthand experiences. …

Japan Fears China, and Rightly So By James Reed

Michael Moore on The Joker Movie: He Understands! By Chris Knight

The Joker movie is out, and it tells the story of Batman’s greatest foe. But the real story is about the disintegration and decadence of the West. Michael Moore, the super-Leftoid, despite our differences understands what is behind the movie. Ignore the anti-Trump rhetoric, he is right about the corporate elites riding the West to the ground. It is a pity that the Left could not get itself under control and return to the Old Left mode, work with all those who see the present system as corrupt. Maybe then we could get somewhere.
  https://www.facebook.com/mmflint/posts/10156278766436857

“On Wednesday night I attended the New York Film Festival and witnessed a cinematic masterpiece, the film that last month won the top prize as the Best Film of the Venice International Film Festival. It’s called “Joker” — and all we Americans have heard about this movie is that we should fear it and stay away from it. We’ve been told it’s violent and sick and morally corrupt — an incitement and celebration of murder. We’ve been told that police will be at every screening this weekend in case of “trouble.” Our country is in deep despair, our constitution is in shreds, a rogue maniac from Queens has access to the nuclear codes — but for some reason, it’s a movie we should be afraid of. I would suggest the opposite: The greater danger to society may be if you DON’T go see this movie. Because the story it tells and the issues it raises are so profound, so necessary, that if you look away from the genius of this work of art, you will miss the gift of the mirror it is offering us. Yes, there’s a disturbed clown in that mirror, but he’s not alone — we’re standing right there beside him. “Joker” is no superhero or supervillain or comic book movie. The film is set somewhere in the ‘70s or ‘80s in Gotham City - and the filmmakers make no attempt to disguise it for anything other than what it is: New York City, the headquarters of all evil: the rich who rule us, the banks and corporations for whom we serve, the media which feeds us a daily diet “news” they think we should absorb. This past week, a week when a sitting President indicted himself because, in true Joker style, he was laughing himself silly at Mueller’s and the Dems’ inability to stop him, so he just quadrupled down and handed them everything they needed. But even then, after ten days of his flaunting his guilt, he was still sitting with his KFC grease-stained nuclear codes in the Oval Office, so he told Captain Sketchy to fire up the helicopter, the sound of its blades revving up, meant only to alert the reporters to scurry outside for the daily “press conference” — Trump walks outside into the deafening cacophony of the whirlybird and publicly and feloniously asks the Peoples Republic of China to interfere in our 2020 election by sending him dirt on the Bidens. He and his magic carpet of hair then walked away and, other than the citizen howls of “CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?!”, nothing happened. As “Joker” opens this weekend, Joker, Jr. Is still still sitting at John F. Kennedy’s desk in the Oval Office on the days he shows up to work, dreaming of his next conquest and debauchery.

Can it Be? Will the Universities Just go bust? By James Reed

Most things ideologically evil come from the universities, so I look forward to them being busted, and search each day for material to confirm my now deep-seated hatred. Everyone has to have some mad little thing and that’s mine. Now, here is Lance Welton at the always insightful vDare.com, outlining the case as to why the universities are finished. And good riddance I say:
  https://vdare.com/articles/college-bubble-bursting-left-hardest-hit-too-bad

“The college bubble is bursting. Bubbles can’t last forever and in the Anglosphere this particular bubble has lasted since the nineteenth century. But universities, even the hard sciences, have now been debauched by anti-science Social Justice Warriors, as I’ve documented here, here,  and here. At the same time, universities have lost their monopoly on knowledge storage, general education provision, and specialized training for high salary professions. And they just cost too much. They’re done. John Derbyshire has pointed out that in Medieval England the monasteries were similarly all-powerful as knowledge repositories, book-producers, even homes of proto-science. And they were similarly expensive—the Reformation was in some ways a tax revolt. But a combination of competition (from the printing-press and from nascent universities) and politics (they opposed Henry VIII’s establishment of the Church of England) led to their dissolution in 1536. So the monastic bubble burst. Now it’s time for the university bubble to burst too.

The Migration Big Business Nexus By Charles Taylor

The creation of a reserve army of the unemployed, as well as aiding in white displacement, are always good things for the captains of capitalism. Banks and the Climate Agenda By James Reed

Here is a tremendous media release by the Citizens Electoral Council of Australia, 3 October 2019, “Banks Push Deadly Climate Agenda,” which is well researched and informative about the forces behind the present climate hysteria:
  http://www.cecaust.com.au

“Banks push deadly climate agenda
The following article is from the Australian Alert Service of 2 October 2019. It was accompanied by “The real Al Gore”, a profile of Al Gore’s actions in his political career on issues other than climate change, which show his true colours as a ruthless enforcer for corporate-military interests—see link at the end of the article. Governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney, in a 23 September speech at the United Nations, revealed the City of London and Wall Street financial oligarchy’s agenda on climate change. It threatens a bleak future for the children of today—one of poverty, death, and environmental destruction. The banking elite brazenly ignore the scientific realities of climate change, and scientists who warn of the disastrous polices promoted by … Goldman Sachs et al. are routinely ignored or bullied into following the establishment line. Carney, formerly a Goldman Sachs executive and Chair of the G20-BIS Financial Stability Board in 2011-18, oversaw the drive to bully nations into a bail-in regime in preparation for the now looming “economic Armageddon”. Now he reveals a climate policy that defies science and lacks humanity for the poorest and most vulnerable in society, many of whom would die under the bankers’ “zero carbon” energy austerity program. In his 23 September speech to the UN Secretary General’s Climate Action Summit 2019, Carney boasted that current supporters of the G20’s Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) “are responsible for assets totalling US$120 trillion and include the world’s globally systemic banks, top 10 global asset managers, leading pension funds and insurers”.

Wind Turbine Pollution! Take That Green Saint Greta Thunberg! By James Reed

I don’t like picking on children, but climate change activist Greta Thunberg is different, since, following her UN rave, she picks on adults. So, let’s go. First, renewables, yes, but even the sacred wind turbines take massive quantities of resources to make, and break down, getting dumped:
  https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-09-27-non-recyclable-wind-turbine-blades-buried-in-landfill.html

“Hundreds of giant windmill blades are being shipped to a landfill in Wyoming to be buried because they simply can’t be recycled. (Article by Adan Salazar republished from Infowars.com) Local media reports several wind farms in the state are sending over 900 un-reusable blades to the Casper Regional Landfill to be buried. While nearly 90 percent of old or decommissioned wind turbines, like the motor housing, can be refurbished or at least crushed, fiberglass windmill blades present a problem due to their size and strength. “Our crushing equipment is not big enough to crush them,” a landfill representative told NPR. Prior to burying the cumbersome, sometimes nearly 300-foot long blades, the landfill has to cut them up into smaller pieces onsite and stack them in order to save space during transportation. To make matters worse, the blades aren’t exactly compostable. The Casper Solid Waste Manager tells Wyoming News Now they’ll take hundreds of years to biodegrade. “So Casper happens to be, I think it is, the biggest landfill facility in the state of Wyoming. These blades are really big, and they take up a lot of airspace, and our unlined area is very, very large, and it’s going to last hundreds of years.” As if that’s not bad enough, NPR reports researchers estimate the US will soon have to grapple with over 720,000 tons of blades over the next 20 years, “a figure that doesn’t include newer, taller higher-capacity versions.” So much for saving the environment.”

Update on Sweden’s Death Throes By Richard Miler

As far as Sweden goes there is not much left to do but document its painful death by a thousand cuts, and bomb blasts. Hopefully, some Nordic genes will survive through sane people, the few that are left, simply leaving the place and letting it burn down. This is what end times, the twilight of the West, is like on the ground:
  https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/14819/sweden-crime

  •     “From the beginning of 2019 to the end of July, there were 120 bombings in Sweden, according to police statistics.
  •      In Uppsala alone, a picturesque Swedish university town, where 80% of girls do not feel safe in the city center, four rapes or attempted rapes took place in early August within four days.
  •     "Stop the rapes – you are letting the women down.... That women do not have the same opportunity to move freely in the streets and squares without having to worry about being exposed to crime, is a serious restriction on women's freedom and self-determination". — Josefin Malmqvist, member of parliament for the Moderate Party; Aftonbladet, August 24, 2019.”

Hypothesis on Cash Banning By James Reed

The official explanation for the banning of cash is that it will stop the so-called black cash in hand economy, although I doubt it, since with e-payments and Bitcoin, I imagine that there would be high-tech ways around it. Maybe pay in tins of baked beans. i.e barter? Anyway, here is something published at their ABC, which is worth thinking about, that it is all about controlling your economic behaviour during recessions. How about just plain old controlling your economic behaviour, full stop?
  https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-08-26/cash-ban-so-you-pay-the-bank-to-hold-your-money-what-imf-wants/11443646

“As the Federal Government moves to ban cash transactions above $10,000, there's a theory gaining traction that the real motive for the cash ban isn't the so-called "black economy", but rather, to give authorities greater control over your behaviour during recessions. This theory, put forward by economists such as John Adams — and picked up by some federal politicians — has not been plucked out of thin air. It is based on repeated public papers and statements by the international body in charge of financial stability — the Washington-based International Monetary Fund (IMF). A recent IMF blog entitled "Cashing In: How to Make Negative Interest Rates Work", explains its motive in wanting negative interest rates — a situation where instead of receiving money on deposits, depositors must pay regularly to keep their money with the bank. As the blog notes, during the global financial crisis central banks reduced interest rates.
